Lately I become more and more like the Janice’s Legacy bag, I feel Coach had put in extra effort at that time to it’s design, to minimize one downside of their vintage bags: the connecting point where pipping ended. Like the BT large plaza in photo 1, the pipping end didn’t skive thin enough, also the alignment was poor. Then the Navy Court (photo 2)with a joint on each side of back panel, didn’t skive thin to blend in either. The pre creed Rust metal tag Courier (photo 3) piping joint was skived well and blended in better, but it was in plain sight on the side of back panel.
While the red Janice only has one continuous pipping cover both front and back, the joint is at the buckle, totally hidden when strap is attached, also the joint on the strap is just above the last hole, at the longest strap setting ( which I use), the joint is hidden under the buckle ( photo 6&7, still drying from wash). The Mahogany Janice was made similar, except the strap piping end is just above the second last hole, still a good crossbody strap drop length (photo 4&5). The zipper pull can rest flat in the recessed area between front and back panel without sticking out ( last 2 photos).
Little details like these make Janice’s overall appearance near flawless. Plus both Janice bags I got have very thick and soft leather, as if Coach was trying to design it to compete with other luxury brands at that time.

Ouch! That sounds painful! I did get professional help but I waited too long so it will never fully be healed. I weight lift 4 days a week- my current deadlift PR is 255 lbs thanks to the doctor who helped re-align & strengthen my hip. Before I got help, I could barely squat 90 lbs. Now Im doing 155 lbs for reps. I do a lot of single leg exercises to strengthen the leg that got weak on the injured side as well. I also use bands to target the muscles in the hips. Like I said, difference is night & day for me after seeing a professional, but there will always be pain because I waited too long & I know I have arthritis in the joint now. My goals this year are to hit a 325 lb deadlift & 255 lb squat which is very attainable my doctor says. Something I never thought Id be able to do before getting help. Anyone who injures a joint, the best thing you can do is seek treatment right away. Don’t listen to “just rest”... if its out of alignment, your body will find a way to avoid using it which will result in imbalances & problems down the line. Glad you recovered well & stick to your exercises! I wanna take up running again, just too lazy to go in the cold right now lol
Oh yes! I have many of those elastic bands! When I was rehabbing I had them all over the house. Lol! Good that you’re improving and sought help.

When I say walk it’s more like walk/run. No leisurely pace at all. Used to do lots of running and ran races and a marathon with my hubby. Running is hard on the joints though and I switched to race walking. I do several other strengething exercises and I know I will always have to keep at it.

Good luck reaching your goal by the end of the year!

Thanks for pointing this out. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my Janice. I had originally thought the style was too plain but I didn't have a sense of scale. In person, it looks very cute.

I remember the pain from the xrays for my broken hip! They had given me morphine but it doesn't work on me. I swore too! I didn't have crutches because I also broke my arm. I used a cane for a short time.
I’m glad I could use crutches. My broken femur was pinned together with the rod and it would move around when I walked. Totally weird sensation! I could put no weight on it for 6 weeks and then was only allowed to put 25% of my weight on it for another month. This was quite different than getting hip replacement surgery where they get you up and walking right away. There was no way to put a cast on my injured leg like you would other broken bones. I have a love-hate reistinship with crutches. Lol!

I think I saw the ebay one, but it looked like bottle green (like my Murphy) instead of jade to me.

The ebay one was definitely Jade, it went for $142 but had pen marks & piping wear. Wow $79?! Thats a steal! Sorry you missed out

eta: I just went back to look, you know what, Im not sure lmao. It could pass as bottle green too but the creed pic has blue-ish tones & its a 95 which is when Jade was offered, 94-95 if I remember correctly from the catalog.

I thought my Murphy looked bluish in its pics and hoped it was jade, it wasn’t, though I like it anyway. I would have paid $$$ for the jade Court, but not for a maybe jade.
