For future reference, if something seems like a good idea, it probably wasn't mine

wow thats a really good repair...feel slightly sorry for the donor bag...hope it had a good lifeJust got my little coral tote back from rehab....! When I was cleaning it up (it was filthy dirty, black handles, stains, etc.) three areas of piping split badly. Sue Tremonti replaced the bad areas with piping from a donor bag. It turned out amazing! You would never know there had been a repair.
They are super tight though, aren't they?
I took the key ring off my Black Widow charm. It's still way too heavy to hang on most of my bags.
I haven't been a lurker for months, I figured it was time. Tired of looking at my L. Not the best since it's cloudy today, but oh well. Never get tired of looking at Regina, even in terrible lighting.beautiful avatar!!! @Lucyblue13
I haven't replaced my phone in a long time. My current phone is completely paid for, which is great! I'm not ready to get back into making payments, especially since I'm not using it much these days. When I stay home, I have wifi all over the house so no need for data, and I've got my tablet for games and my desktop for tpf. If we ever start traveling a lot again, I might consider upgrading to get 5G. I only play games on my phone when I'm stuck waiting some place and forgot to bring a book.Totally off topic but last year, for a variety of valid reasons, I bought the new iphone SE to replace my 6 which was starting to have problems and I wanted it gone before it REALLY had problems. Last week at work a friend asked for my help with a word game and I loved the screen size of her new 12. Serious phone envy. Very much considering getting the 11 (probably what I should have gotten last year vs the new SE) now that the price has dropped. Grrrr

I wish coach put that kind of hardware on my tea rose charm. Mine has a dog leash clip & a key ring. I don’t like either because they don’t lay against my bags properly. I really like the colour of my charm though so Im not gonna sell it. I might clip the key ring off to make it less bulky:

thanks for the suggestion! I didn't know this existed. A long time ago I read books on Google books but the selection wasn't very good. During the pandemic, I bought a bunch of books on Amazon. I only have a few left so I'll look into this app. I loved going to the library every few weeks.Do you have a local library card? I read free e-books on the “CloudLibrary” app. It’s available to libraries all over the world. You just need your library card to sign up. The selection is pretty good & once you borrow the book, you can read it offline. I would highly recommend it even if you don’t like screen reading. I prefer physical books but my library is closed so the Cloud Library has been a great alternative.
I have a prepaid plan that is $30/month all in (no additional taxes or fees). But you have to buy the phones outright. I kept my 6 for about 5 years, but it was lagging before lockdown and having a weird battery issue; during lockdown when I had Zooms, it wasn’t keeping up and the battery issue got worse. I then went with the SE because it was cheap and I wasn’t sure how long I would have a pay check, plus my carrier had closed and I was migrated to another carrier right before all this and I wasn’t sure how I would like it and phones are tied to them for a year. I would rather have walked away from a $300 phone than what was then an $800 phone if need be.I get it. I want to get a new Apple watch because I feel like my Fitbit is outdated now. Im not gonna do it because Ive been doing really well saving my money & not frivolously spending like I was. Its one of those “I want but I don’t need” things. New things are nice but eventually the appeal wears off & you’ve spent more money for something that’s basically the same thing as what you replaced except a little fancier. Do you have a contract with a phone company? Maybe there's a way for you to upgrade for only $5-10 added monthly to your bill. I haven’t been on a contract in years so Im not sure what the options are for upgrading.
I have to buy mine outright since I am prepaid, so I would just need to save, but my last swap was slowly dying old phone mandated, this is just that I found someone else’s phone preferable to use. My new SE is much the same as my old 6, which I liked, but my friend’s bigger screen was super nice. My mom has the old SE or 5s, I can’t remember, but it won’t be supported much longer by Apple so of I go to the 11, I can gift her my new SE which will see her through another 5-6 years with a device she is largely familiar with vs her trying to use one without a home button etc.I haven't replaced my phone in a long time.
