Sorry I have a noob question... how do I accept a seller’s private offer on eBay? When I click on view offer in the email it just takes me back to the listing. Does this mean the seller changed their mind in the offer?

When you click on the offer in the email, it does take you to the listing but there should be a banner at the top that tells you the offer. Isn't there someplace there to click to respond? If all else fails, tell the seller you would like to accept but you don't know how. She might be able to send it again as a response to your question.

ETA: Offers are only good for a limited time, some as 24 hours, some are 48 hours. I believe the seller might be able to withdraw the offer too.

she says she cleaned it out of a closet, but there was one just like it in a lot last week. Wonder if she is selling the one she didn’t want from the lot to recoup the cost?

Thanks Narnanz and whateve! The offer is still valid but I looked everywhere - even went on my computer to look for it, and couldn’t find a way to accept it. So I think the seller must have withdrawn the offer. Thanks for your help!

I emailed the seller and she’s going to honour the offer. Yay!
And now it’s time to park my butt over at ban island.....
