Sold for $652. :wtf:
I wonder if Coach archive bought it.

I hope so, at least it will be appreciated for what it is, instead of being re-listed by some greedy flipper at 4 or 5 times the price they paid for it or even more. Nothing against most flippers, after all the name of the game is to make a profit. But I've seen too many examples lately where not only are the prices ridiculously high but the seller is lying about the condition and even the original price although they keep bragging about how honest they are. :annoyed:

I can't imagine it selling for more than it already did. At that price, it has to be a collector. Before this auction, I had assumed mine was worth around $300.

Mercari has been crazy lately. I think it’s because there was this promo for no fees for listing handbags so it’s been a-plentiful. I actually got the purple kimball (sorry)! We will see how it is when it gets here though. Also got a red Regina with no strap earlier too (though I’m still trying to figure out the white substance in the back pocket for that one). But yea... seriously no more bags for me for a while... I just bought 4 bags within a week, sigh. The vintage coach bag addiction is real.
I bought a red companion bag. It was a good price, but the seller didn't show a picture of the back. She specifically mentioned an ink mark inside, but neglected to mention the one on the back. She used Mercari's shipping label, only paying for an 8 ounce package when it weighed 2 pounds. I'll keep it but I don't know what I should rate her.

I was reading somewhere that Mercari really doesn’t like it when sellers do that with the shipping and will shut down their accounts immediately (though it’s not first hand experience, can’t remember where I read this).

I'm surprised the post office didn't catch it. I have a few things listed that I'm not sure if they will weigh more than 3 pounds once boxed and I set them up with the $16 label just in case. My buyers don't know what I'm using for shipping since I offer free shipping. I feel like if I went one ounce over they would catch it and I don't know what would happen to my package.

Maybe some post offices don’t bother to check?

They don’t always check. If they do catch it, they charge you the amount you were short using whatever payment method you used to buy the postage. They have also refunded me when I’ve overpaid.

I know that will happen when I buy my postage through ebay and Bonanza, but when you use Mercari's label, they can only charge Mercari, not the seller, or collect from the buyer. I wonder if they could have charged Mercari and it wouldn't show on the label.

You sound like me... I am the same way! I will score something and then still wish I had scored the other ones as well!
What can I say other than a long big sigh. We North of the border people stuck with global shipping program and import duty from eBay, and no Mercari. Poshmark Canada has less than 1/10th inventory compare with U.S. Whenever you gals is showing your awesome scores from everywhere, I am watching them with my glowing green eyes, full of envy...

I work at Canada Post, U.S. postal system should be similiar. The only time they actually weigh and measure a parcel is when you take the package to postal retail outlet to ship it there. Pre printed labels at home is an honour system, processing and delivering stream is just too busy to keep mails and packages flowing, very rare someone will go through the trouble to take out an underpaid mail items for further accessment. People even business do take advantage of it, I saw parcels to the same address use duplicated shipping labels, so only 1 parcel is paid, the rest were shipped for free.
