Can anyone tell if this vintage cf has been redyed? Im confused bc from some of the stitches, it looks like it was but feel wise its pretty buttery, but in a dense saturated kinda almost oily buttery (which i actually like) unlike my other regular lambskin cf that is just modern(?) soft. Its def not grainy txture. Is it possible to have been redyed but still be buttery if the leather person did an exceptional job or its just not possible even once redye job has been done at all lol C818045E-6B78-44DD-9693-1123EEC77DEF.jpegBDF49CE4-B0C7-41E0-BCDC-B18E5A60ED12.jpegCAB16A83-CEA3-4548-BC7F-892F03FB39EF.jpegC818045E-6B78-44DD-9693-1123EEC77DEF.jpeg7A1A458A-E039-435B-922B-BD4E85C03000.jpeg32450E43-35B8-4D84-B1B7-596100A2DCD7.jpeg

just my 2cents from my own experience, it looked like there was just moisturizer or cleaning residue on the stitches. But i could be wrong

I feel this is the best leather cream I have ever used, because the moisture and the shine last a long time.

Mink oil hydrates well and wax locks in the hydration.

If the leather is older and dry, apply twice, or three times. Afterwards, you’ll notice the sheen will stay on and on.

Most important thing is to apply a THIN layer at a time, wait until the the stickiness is completely gone, then lightly buffer with soft cotton or the wool cloth included in the Saphir Renovateur package.

Depending on the humidity in your environment, I sometimes wait for an hour or the next day, before buffering. I live in southern Arizona, weather is dry most of the time. During monsoon season, I have to wait longer for the cream to dry.

When Saphir Renovateur is completely dry, buffering is so easy, you can even use your figure to lightly rub the top lever of wax off. Sometimes, the wax will fall of by itself, leaving the leather nice and shiny without any buffering.

You may touch to feel the leather, when it’s ready, there is no more stickiness.

Let me know your result. Hope to get to see your bag too.
Mimi, thanks so much for your advice. I order the Saphir Renovateur to moisture and Saphir MDO cream polish to touch up the corner and some fading areas. They work like a dream and save my bag from over cleaning (so stupid i know). Best purchase i made this month.B967FFCB-7CCC-48DC-BCAF-F8B2F44E1E94.jpeg

Hi dear Chanel experts, I'm about to buy this vintage Chanel bag (1994-1996), but not sure if it has been repainted as it looks soo perfect/glossy for a 26-year-old bag. The seller (a Japanese wholeseller) said only the corners have been slightly touched up. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

The leather looks yummy.
It seems to be nourished by care leather products for me.

From experience, I believe I heard white cannot be re-dyed. It can only be changed to a darker color because it is white.

My 2010 white jumbo is in pristine condition only because I hardly use it. I'm scared to use it, and now I'm too price conscious to sell it. Hahaha. :P
How about beige color? Although i think it's quite hard to find the same shade..
I would love to see your white jumbo!! 😊 Heard the quality is way better back then compared to now
