I purchased an designer jewelry watch and was wondering if it was about to be automatically cancelled, since it had been awhile since I purchased and it had not been shipped. To my surprise, the shipping window is now 2 weeks before they allow cancellation!

Thanks so much, this is good to know! I did see some other reports on purseforum about people not receiving their refunds even after sending in the items. Have you ever tried it before and you got your money back?
I’m having this issue. I am trying to sell a like new LV Zoe wallet that I purchase from the boutique and even included a photo of the receipt when I uploaded and they still said it wasn’t authentic. I was baffled. The receipt with the item listed on is literally right there. Not sure what else I can do…doesn’t get any more authentic than that Lol

That’s what I found in their FAQ. It’s still one week in most cases. But this ‘rare case’ paragraph is definitely a recent addition.

Thank you, that is so helpful! I don’t mind waiting more once in awhile (total estimated time if the seller ships it will be 28 days), but typically I would like it cancelled after 7 days if it has not shipped.

I had the same experience. I sell used shoes and everything was included, from box to dust bag and receipt. My guess is that maybe some people provide fake receipt or even a real receipt, but swap items at the time of selling them. I would appreciate if VC could allow sellers to ship their items to their warehouse for physical examination, but it is currently not the case. So I instead use Fashionphile to sell some of my items and I have been having great experiences. They authenticate items professionally.

I’ve also had great experiences with FASHIONPHILE. I was hoping to take more of the profit with VC but not with the hassle.

They are definitely bringing lots of hassles. I found their authentication team pretty problematic. Although they do spot some of the items correctly, but definitely not all of the items. I do not know why they just couldn't do their job properly. Plus, their website and app are among the worst ones I have ever used. I felt like I was living in the early 2000s when I used their app.

Further to my entry above. This has been the most frustrating experience to date with VC. Basically, I sold on a bag I’d bought from VC via VC. The buyer chose Direct Shipping. Buyer then questioned its authenticity so VC requested it be sent to them. Without any explanation or advisement through the entire process I received the bag back, still believing it was counterfeit. I sent it for Mulberry Exchange and they accepted it, therefore it was authentic. Today I received the attached response, the only response. Bonkers. Once again my advice….do not use Direct Shipping but as a seller you have no control. This will save me hundreds of pounds as shan’t be buying from them for a very long time, if at all.

I think a new buyer’s fee is now in force since a few days ?
I have been advised by e-mail, and noticed it on a bag I'm selling.
I lowered the price recently to manage to make it appear under 400 € including buyer’s fee, and this morning it appears as 410 € including all fees !
Last fees raise was not long ago, like it was already in 2024...

Has anyone recently tried to list a bag that got denied as fake? The bag is 100% real, it’s just very rare. I even had the receipt from the boutique when I bought it as “proof of purchase.” I thought maybe my photos looked lazy and took even more detailed photos, still rejected…

How funny I just missed your message. I basically had the same experience, but with a LV bag.
Yeah, think i had it once with Chanel jewellery. I am a bit annoyed as VC seems the only place in Europe where I can offload The Row bag (no logo makes it pretty hard to sell it elsewhere). But done with them, honestly my patience is limited. I'd say my photos were fine (so bet yours too) as I've sold quite a few items there and always had the same type of photos.

Oh yes, I had two weeks of arguments, no explanation for the cancellation of my sale and they returned my bag without explanation. No quality control report, all I ever got was buyer had ‘authenticity issues’. Here’s their final explanation screenshot. I have also had them demand more than once a photo of the mulberry serial disc on a newer bag that doesn’t have one…..shocking and I’m done. I’m not advocating not using them but never ever use direct shipping. The twist is as a seller you have no choice. Re this case I have 20 pages of screenshots but in all of them it’s very vague, authenticity issues, repetitive as if it’s a new issue, not one answer to my questions and then I finally received what you see attached.

Posted a few weeks back and am shocked to say American Express sided with Vestiaire. Long story short, I disputed the charge because Vestiaire wouldn't refund me for selling me a 'good condition' Hermes bag with tears in it even after second inspection. Vestiaire claimed to American Express that the item was still compliant and I lost the dispute (I've disputed it three times, not bothering with a fourth). Buyers please be careful and don't assume you have credit card protection against Vestiaire.
Thank you so much for the comment! I did send the exact same screenshot and was told Vestiaire’s FAQs now list “good condition” as allowing small tears. They have complete disregard for the fact that it’s defined differently in two places on their site! Buyers beware. Hopefully my credit card won’t be so casual about it.
