I have also had mine since April 2019, and can echo everything this_is_rj said. I DO have a few scuffs, as I use the bag. Its is certainly more prone to show wear than togo, but the feel and the glow of the leather have ruined me from considering togo again ( I just turned down a lovely verte rousseau togo kelly- gorgeous, but now I am a committed smooth leather girl).
It just has to work for you. Good luck and keep us posted!

@this_is_rj @nymeria thank you both for your input! I have an etoupe tadelakt, and it's SO fragile. I'm considering sending it to the spa and selling it at some point in the future. Is it crazy that I'm considering another smooth leather? Jonathan sounds more robust than tadelakt, box, and swift.

@nymeria what color is your Jonathan?

mine is a 30 black, PHW- I adore it ( and all smooth leathers) I've said many times before, it just glows. but I can't comment on it in comparison to tadelakt, as I don't own anything in that. Perhaps similar to swift wrt a bit less show of the scratches, as they buff well?...( and you can't tell me there is no heredity line from Gulliver to Swift to Jonathan- that's WAY too much of a bad literary pun to be anything but on purpose!!) So probably similar. But honestly- what do I know? I love it, but that does NOT mean its for everyone.
Good luck- please keep me posted

I only have tadelkt in the ‘tutti fruitful’ bag charm and it’s a beautiful leather. Very soft with vibrant colour. I’m not sure how it would fare in a bag though.

Congrats, this is a beautiful bag! I’m intrigued by these new leathers like Veau Jonathan. My B25 in swift is probably less structured, wondering if the grain is smaller in swift than in Jonathan? Have you anything in swift so that you can make a comparison? Happy belated bday, this is the perfect bday present
There's comparison pics posted earlier here. :)

Hello all. I just purchased a B 30 in Jonathan in Vert Tropical with GHW. I wasn't too sure about this leather (and I had never heard of the color ) as I fear it may be too fragile for me but it was truly lovely and not so common so I took it. After reading this thread I feel a little more confident in my choice. Here is a not very good photo of it. No matter what I try it still photographs a little more blue than it actually is.IMG_1421.jpg

Congrats!! I am sure you will love your new Jonathan! Its a wonderful leather and a gorgeous color! Lovely!:biggrin:

Here is a comparison to swift, not the best of photos, apologies. I didn’t realise the lining is Chevre which gives a nice structure. Noir JV on the left, Graphite swift on the right

IMHO JV feels the same as Swift in terms of softness, but has a matt feel to it and the chèvre lining makes it more structured, I think it will age well (not used it as yet as I have been travelling for work). Swift has a lovely slight sheen, but a little more slouch. That said the JV is new, the swift three years old. I love them both, my husband prefers the JV.

Thank you for this! I think I like JV a bit more too now!
