Here's some more photos for reference in comparison to swift noir. Left is the B25 in Jonathan and right is the swift. They look almost identical. U can see the sangles don't fall like they do on the swift tho. I have tadelakt in a c18 and I feel like that's much shinier. I have a box Kelly too and would say tadelklat is in between the two on sheen =)Ok...first congrats on such an Amazing haul!! second, I want to know more about this Jonathan leather. It is interesting to see the difference between the two noir's in different leathers. The noir in Veau Jonathan looks so much richer, more saturated. Is that the case in real life as well???
Also, what does veau Jonathan feel like? do you think it feels closer to box or swift? or tadalakt? does it have a shine in real life? sorry for all the questions! I am such a lover of the shiny black hermes leathers, and have yet to see this one in real life and on a small Birkin. TIA!
Also would add the rigidity of Jonathan is more like box with the look of swiftHere's some more photos for reference in comparison to swift noir. Left is the B25 in Jonathan and right is the swift. I do like both leathers meaning johnathan and swift. The smoother leathers really do show colors so well, imho. The downside is they tend to show scratches more easily. There is a tradeoff for color saturation. Will be tunThis new leather looks better than swift to my eyes. I once got a B25 in swift and exchanged it with a K32 sellier later. I was not too crazy about how swift takes color.
Clever girl (or guy), you are! I never would have put that all together.I was told years ago when the man who tanned Gulliver leather retired, the leather was discontinued. Then the same type leather came back called Swift. Maybe there has been a reason to again change the name of this leather.
Jonathan Swift wrote Gulliver's Travels, so the three names are related and the three leathers are very similar.
I would prefer this leather to Togo or Epsom, however it is somewhat more delicate.
All I can say is I love mine- the "hand" ( feel of the leather ) is wonderful- soft and supple. It has worn well so far. Mine is black with PHW. I'd love to see it in a kelly!I am curious about this letter. My SA offer me this lether for Birkin 30 in gold GHW. I need your advise if I am gonna get it or pass.
