Hi everyone!

Keen to get your opinions on which 10M VA to get! ☺️

I currently have a 5M YG MOP and 5M hammered YG. Planning to add 5M guilloche YG when there’s stock

I’m in a dilemma whether to get 10M hammered or guilloche YG not considering MOP as prefer a low/ zero maintenance set for frequent wear in hot and humid tropics!

Unfortunately the boutique only has stock for the 10M hammered and nothing in guilloche.. so I can’t do a comparison / try on suppose chances of having both in store to choose is low now

I know many of you have both! Keen to hear your views! thanks

I have both and it really depends on your needs and wardrobe. I wear the guilloche with less casual items - I find the sheen of the guilloche to be a little dressy and just a warning it’s easy to scratch (I’m very rough on my jewelry so this may not be an issue for others). The hammered gold, for my wardrobe, is way more functional and wearable day to day. As a side note, I see much less of the hammered gold 10 motif than the other motifs out and about in the real world which can be nice.

Thank you so so much for sharing your thoughtful replies and votes of confidence dear ladies ☺️ Thanks @littlecollector for sharing the comparison mod shots, both look so beautiful on you! I was leaning towards hammered YG but you guys sealed the deal for me

Happy to report back - it’s done!

@911snowball I was told no hammered gold for a long long time but just this week alone, it’s available for walk in in Singapore, Hong Kong, and online in Hong Kong, Japan, Spain!

I don’t really know how to use the reply or @ quote function.. sorry.

Here are pictures of me trying them both:

View attachment 5736725View attachment 5736726 When the guilloche was first released, I like it so much. But, the hammered gold is really growing on me over time. Hammered gold looks so classy and elegant. You’ll be able to wear the 10 motif hammered with your 5 motif. And even connect both 10+5 to create a necklace.

I vote for the hammered, more subtle and classis VCA

I agree with @lisawhit
I think the hammered gold is gorgeous and much more elegant. It's a classic, and metal work is lovely.

The guilloche is super shiny metal, and to me, it gives off a bit of that disco-y reflecting vibe, especially as a necklace near the face.
If you plan to wear it as your everyday necklace, you may feel you don't want that super shiny metal vibe with, say, a t-shirt.
If the shiny metal look is what you want, then guilloche is definitely that.

I vote hammered gold. You can also get matching hammered gold earrings in the future. That would be a gorgeous set.

Good luck with your decision, and congratulations on your soon to be new piece!

Plus one as per lisawhit and Big Akoya. I have the 20 hammered and have been waiting for the 10 to show up at my boutique so I can grab one. I like it that much. They are quite rare in my area to get. Hopefully we will see some better inventory soon, this is encouraging!

Congratulations!! Sometimes it’s all about timing. Who can say why it was available but so awesome it was. Hope you get lots of wear from your lovely new 10 motif. Please post some mod shots in the 10 motif thread.

I have had no problem transferring stuff in, even right before price increase in the past
Crazy. They won’t transfer anything in for me. Before the price increase I sat in the store and watched the person (wasn’t my normal SA - she was off when I came in) look up all the pieces I was interested in on the computer. Some of them were available in the US at other stores … but when I told my SA which ones I wanted and their availability she didn’t offer to transfer. She basically said I could pay a full down payment and I wait for them. I was so aggravated by the entire thing that I just decided increase or not I wasn’t going to purchase.

Has anyone consider the magic 4 motif earrings? I don’t know why but I woke up one morning thinking about them and now I have that itch to get them. I am petite and I already have a feeling that these will probably overwhelm my face BUT I don’t know why I am even considering them! Someone talk some sense into me (or not ).
I got them recently. They'd been in the back of my mind for a couple years then of course when I decided to pull the trigger, they were nowhere to be found. My lovely SA came through though, even though I had to wait several months. I'm 5'4" and I LOVE them. They do make noise when worn though (almost like chimes, the motifs can hit each other, if that makes sense?).
I'm no help. You NEED them! :P

Here are a couple of pics. The bracelet needs a minor adjustment. So, it’s being worked on and they will send it to me. BUT, It’s absolutely freaking gorgeous!!!

The second pic is the bracelet on my SA.

I know I'm late to the party, but major congratulations!!! That is absolutely breathtaking and perfect with your ring!

Bouton D’Or is gorgeous. I have always adored it but only have one piece - the pendant. I love chrysoprase. A Chrysoprase, turquoise and lapis combination is always perfection to me.

Because I love that combo so much I buy a lot of Irene Neuwirth. She’s not VCA - definitely more on the fun, whimsical, casual side - but I love the bright playfulness of her unique pieces.

I purchased all of my turquoise Alhambra pieces back maybe 15 or more years ago when you could walk in the store and buy it straight from the floor! When they did the alternating lapis and gold Alhambra and malachite and gold Alhambra necklaces I grabbed those too. I remember that the malachite at that time was so new and vibrant - I had to have it!

You have a beautiful jewelry collection and amazing taste  Thank you for indulging me and chatting about jewelry!
OMG I would love to see a picture of your necklaces!

Hi! I use the Maria cube. Works great. I posted a lot about my love of Wolf cases (people are probably sick of hearing me talk abour Wolf).
Here is the link one of the posts showing the Maria cube. Works great for travel.

The VCA pieces I put in there include bulky pieces such as Lotus ring, Frivole BTF ring, the earrings, a 20, etc.
So yes... you can definitely put your 10 motif there. For my 20, I use the medium VCA travel pouch.
Do you VCA earrings fit well on the earrings part? None of my cases seem capable of fitting their posts properly, so I wind up taking a bunch of little pouches.

Hi! I find travel jewelry cases with pre-determined slots do not fit anything well!
They are worthless for earrings, and bulky rings are impossible in those cheesy ring slots.:heart:

I use the Maria travel pieces because they are open "holes" and work perfectly. I can then layer with my pouches however I wish.
Here are the two I use:

I love love love this little guy and use him the most.

When I bring more or bulkier pieces, I use this medium guy:

By the way, Maria now comes in the color orange which is nice and bright (it only came in navy, white, and yellow for the longest time).

Here are photos to show you how the VCA pouches fit inside both sizes.

The Maria cube is the first photo. I love it. I can fit a ton inside.
I put the medium pouch at the bottom of the Maria cube so you can see how perfectly it fits.
I use the medium pouches for my Clover bangle, 20 motif, 5 motif bracelets (I put one bracelet in each slot).
I use the small pouches for earrings (one earring in each slot) and rings. Works great.
Oh... and I always put a cleaning cloth at the top. You never know when you need a wipe.

The Maria medium is the second photo. It is good when you carry bulkier pieces such as wide cuffs and chunky necklaces.
I also layered it with the VCA pouches to show you how the pouches fits.

Hope this helps.

I wonder if loyalty to one (or a few) SAs would help for some pieces, so maybe continue to work with your favorite SA.

SAs are loyal to clients who are loyal to them because they know they will get repeat sales, and sales is what drives a SA.
I am sure the SA from whom you purchased the Ludo would be glad to get any other piece you want!
