Vca new turquoise butterfly??

That's an easy answer for me. For me, Frivole for sure. It is classic, blingy, and gorgeous.
The butterfly necklace alone does not make a statement. The model has to wear three pieces to even make a subtle statement. It's definitely not blingy. Cover her earrings and ring, and the little turquoise butterfly necklace fades into nothing, at least to me. The pendant worn alone to me is on the edge of childish. Plus, the little turquoise butterfly pendant has limited use. It's a summer piece, a fun piece. The Frivole is year round, all occasion, dressy or casual piece.

Ask yourself... why do you all of a sudden want the turquoise butterfly? Was any butterfly necklace ever on your list? If not, why now? Or do you want it now because of the hype of turquoise?

Did that help? Are you over the butterfly?

For me, I would choose Frivole over the butterfly, not even a question for me.
The key for you is why you even want the butterfly and how do you intend to wear it a one pendant. Hope that helps.

@BigAkoya You are truly a jewelry therapist!!! :hugs:

I am not BigA, however, I think the turquoise butterfly line will not be plentiful and will be offered to clients with significant collections (at first, at least). You need to talk to your SA about this decision, because she or he might be able to give you a realistic idea of the odds of accessing it. You don't want to miss out on the Frivole pendant while waiting on something that may or may not be possible!
@DS2006 Thank you for your feedback and a great suggestion re: speaking to SA. I’m definitely not in big collectors category and want to invest in pieces that I can wear again and again and build collections/sets that make sense together vs chasing various pieces that are not harmonized. Appreciate you weighing in.

Is the Frivole pendant limited or hard to find? Or harder to find than other pieces these days? Best not get into how long I've been waiting for what used to be a pretty straightforward Frivole piece... I am biased as I'm not a fan of the pink sapphire Frivole and passed on the earrings/pendant earlier this year.

I think you're absolutely right about the TW being offered to let's say more established clients first, but I would guess the necklace will probably be relatively more accessible than the earrings and ring. But rather than relying on our guesses definitely ask your SA

I cannot tell you how much I agree with this! I did have the chance to buy one limited piece that didn’t fit with what I was collecting (it was yg and I mostly have wg). I later sold it to a friend because I didn’t want to have to buy extra pieces just to go with that one. Most of my pieces are very common VCA items, but I try to only buy things I will actually wear! I am very casual almost all the time, and I have to keep that in mind as I choose items! I think somewhat limited things like the turquoise butterflies are fabulous for those who can fit them into their collections and wear them! I think the Frivole is an excellent choice for you!!!

@Safa As far as I know, the Frivole with pink sapphire is not plentiful, so sometimes people have to wait awhile to get one. It is no longer on the website, so it might only be made to order now other than any remaining pieces in stock.

Thank you for the info. It’s hard to tell these days what is limited production and what is just hard to find. It sounds like others are also in the same position I’ve been in lately of having standard classics have to be brought in from other stores or just not coming available for months.

Definitely! I couldn’t get the wg mop Alhambra pieces I wanted for Christmas! They are slowly replenishing stock, but it may be awhile until they can meet all the demand!

I think it you really want it, order it and pay for it. Waiting is a chasing something that will take you a while. Frivole is a popular line, and you will keep getting bumped by others who have ordered it. You will be sure to get one if you order it. I've had to order several pieces recently, and all came within 6-8 weeks.

Good luck!

It’s been ordered and paid for. It is a regular piece, not a SO, and I’m not sure what the delay is. It’s been well over 6-8 weeks and I’ve received other things ordered more recently while waiting. I’ve been assured it will come but no ETA

The TQ butterfly pieces are now live online, same price of the lapis. Anyone getting these?
I was a bit tempted before but figured I’d just get another lapis set to pair with my other one from 3 years ago - just need to make sure the colour matches.
It's online but . . .
It says "currently unavailable," so no joy . . .

You can ask your SA. My SA offered them to me, but I declined as I'm not a YG person. The collection will be released March. I would think VCA will post a few pieces online for general availability, but you don't need to do that.

If you want something, ask your SA now. I am 100% sure you can get what you want given your purchase history. Your SA may not have realized you may be interested in this collection; hence he/she may not have thought to offer it to you.

I was hoping to get the turquoise to wear with the lapis. That way I could mix and match. It could be worn as an all yellow gold/pave set, the lapis could be paired with the turquoise, or it could be worn as intended!

I know this thread is about the turquoise butterfly collection, and yes... it's turquoise, it's new, so it's a must have some might think. Well...before you drop money on a butterfly, take a look at all the butterflies. There's a bold blue butterfly you need to meet!

These photos have been posted in other threads, but sometimes it's too much to keep up, so I'll repost here for everyone.
These photos are of @Happyish 's earrings and @TankerToad 's ring! Wow wow wow... does this scream gorgeous or what?
Something to consider if you're even considering a butterfly piece in YG. Look at the lapis butterflies... they pop pop pop! Your eyes are guaranteed to stop, pause, and stare.

@Happyish and @TankerToad I hope you don't mind me sharing your gorgeous pieces.

I’m a fan of mix & match. I do that all the time even with my VA and frivole earrings. But somehow I don’t like how TQ amd lapis blue clash on me when worn together. I prefer the TQ in perlee pieces which I already have. Please share photos when you get these. I’m sure they’ll be gorgeous!
