What are your views of the perlee sweet clover vs regular clover bracelet?

If I could only get one I would get the regular Clover for a timeless elegant piece. Not to say the Sweet Clover isn’t timeless but the thinner width and the playfulness feels a lot more youthful and casual to me, so depending on your style you might “outgrow” the Sweet bangle with time. I thought I would love the Sweet clover when it was announced since I prefer the Sweet sizes on myself for bracelets but I wasn’t immediately sold, and the fact that the beaded edge doesn’t cover the Clover motif fully does bother me. To me it looks a bit unfinished somehow.

I have a feeling if you purchased the Sweet Clover you will still crave the regular Clover. As @Happyish said before on the Discussion thread, it won’t satisfy your itch and you will regret not getting the piece you truly wanted. She also recommended getting the more expensive piece first if it’s your holy grail love and other pieces can come later, because with price increases the more expensive pieces will only become harder to attain. I don’t think one should spend way above their means but if you truly love the Clover as your holy grail must-have piece, I would consider saving, selling what you don’t love, and spending it on the Clover than spend a few thousand here and there across items you ended up not really loving and having to sell later at a loss.

Thank you ladies so much for your wise words of advice! Looks like i am not ready to make my decision yet. It is so hard because the pieces r never in stock for me to try and get a feel in the store..

The sweet clover perlee is SGD 24,400

Full pave single perlee bracelet is ard Sgd34,400 (overall has way more carats in diamond compared to regular clover but i find the clover design to be the selling point actually)

The regular perlee is ard SGD 40,600

If i move to bangle, i am then wondering if i should consider Cartier's full pave bracelet in WG.. it has the little screw design in between. Quite nice and timeless too..

Definitely try on both if you can
My dh did not like the clover on me; it's a matter of taste & what looks good on each individual

Wellll.... I'm just saying...if you're going to go that far the pave Love really deserves a try on.;) Not to enable too much, the but full pave Love is my favourite piece    - and that is coming from someone who isn't really the biggest Love fan (I like Loves very much, but never felt I wanted one until I tired saw my gf's and tried on the full pave. And I tried a whole lot of other brands and non brand's eternity bangles but for me the pave Love was perfect).

In all honesty...it is really worthwhile to take a look at both. If I'm being 100% serious, the full pave Love and the regular Clover are not comparable or replacements for each other. They are not the same at all and, if you get one while wanting the other, in the long run it won't "scratch that itch" everyone is referring to.

I think it is important for us to remember this is not a race. God-willing, we have our life to acquire and build our jewelry wardrobe. Unlike miniskirts and booty shorts, jewelry is for all ages so the need to "have it all NOW" is something we are seeing so often today. This haste means people rush to acquire even when it really isn't "them". I'm glad to hear you are stepping back a moment to reassess what is really calling you. It looks like you have mentioned some really pretty options.

To echo @EpiFanatic - what currency is this?

Anyhow, I own this bracelet and find it to have been well worth the money. It is gorgeous, durable, and very wearable. It can surprisingly be dressed up or down. I think that stacking it works, and then worn alone it works as it is a statement on its own. I would say that, for the money, this is a great investment piece that can be worn a number of ways - surprisingly even in mixed metal stacks. I have included a some various pics below that I had on my camera roll so hopefully this helps a bit. :flowers:

I don’t like the sweet fwiw. The clover is probably my favorite piece. Something about the sweets proportions is less elegant imo. Not sure how the prices compare but I’d go with a single row perlee over the sweet clover

Just to tag onto this, I loved the sweet originally, but then read on here about the proportions being off and I can’t unsee it now. There are also fewer diamond clovers compared to the original. It honestly looks like a completely different bracelet to me, with a similar concept.

Thank you for sharing.. i find that with each of the 3 bracelets /bangles, there are stuff i dojt completely love about it or is making me hesitate about it. So i definitely shld wait it out and sit on it a bit more.. maybe i am just too picky..

I love the perlee clover and sweet both but i have seen pics where the mirrored finish part looks abit dusty or blurry because of dirt or fingerprint marks. In this sense, the single full pave would be better but i dont feel like it is that unique..

I like the look of the Love small pave but i dont like the screw mechanism, i need stuff i can take off and put on easily.

In love LOL

Recently, I tried the yellow gold small size sweet Perlee clover bracelet with my wider YG diamond tennis bracelet on and my hubby and I loved her so much :love:

I think she would look exquisite on any age group ..

I think about her everyday ….:girlsigh: when you see the one  you know it’s THE one …

I don't think you are too picky, i think you know yourself well & what will annoy you about a piece of jewelry.
Have you tried on Bvlgari? I went in a year or so ago & rather than the serpenti, i tried on a smooth bangle with a diamond pave head & tail. It was exquisite & quite unique

I havent seen it or tried in person, i only bought my DH a b.zero rose gold ring before.. but wasnt keen on the ladies stuff at that time.. the b.zero doesnt match my style.

I am also loving the Serpenti full pave white gold bangle but tbh, it is abit too bling or much for me.. knowing my style, whilst i love bling i dont like stuff that are too loud. If i am a personality on social media or a celebrity, i would for sure go for the full pave bangles like the serpenti full pave or perlee clover but thinking abt it, it will likely overwhelm my style as i am just a super casual person, and i like girly floral flowy type of dresses.. it is just like, i will admire the Chanel classic flaps m/L and hermes kelly on others but it ultimately doesnt suit my lifestyle..

I am also not there where i can shell out a few hundred thousands without blinking and wear those items without care.. So.. actually after going a full round and considering my personal style, the 5 motif wg pave may still be the best option for me as it will be something i can wear without worrying too too much, and i dont feel it too over the top for daily wear.. and it shld be rather timeless.. O.o will sit on it somemore Lol. Gosh.

Sorry late to this convo. I did not prefer the serpenti with the head and tail, but the one without the head and tail were gorgeous. Just way too big and no small size.

Dear tpfers, may i check with owners of this bracelet, or vca lovers, do you think this bracelet is worth the price tag? Any regrets, or is it a forever piece? $20K is a lot to shell out for a bracelet, i am selling my WG MOP 5 motif brcelet as i wanted to replace with this one but the price tag is a big jump.. moreover, i am not sure if i will get my full cost per wear out of it.. i rotate btw YG and WG quite a lot.

Are there alternatives for this bracelet (for WG stacking purposes)? I cant seem to think of any.. the chalcedony WG one is too similar to the problem i have with the white MOP. While beautiful, i got bored of it in a way and wanting something with contrast. Eg i feel YG with MOP has more contrast in comparison. Or onyx with WG but they only do customs for VIP. -.-

I dont really like white gold from Cartier for some reason..

My wrist are rather small, usually go 16cm bracelets so i find that chain type works better than bangle type for me.. plhs i find bangle type may scratch more easily..wld love to hear your views !

Do you have to be really careful wearing the MOP bracelet? I was thinking of getting this to start my daughter’s collection for when she’s old enough to wear it.
