Dear tpfers, may i check with owners of this bracelet, or vca lovers, do you think this bracelet is worth the price tag? Any regrets, or is it a forever piece? $20K is a lot to shell out for a bracelet, i am selling my WG MOP 5 motif brcelet as i wanted to replace with this one but the price tag is a big jump.. moreover, i am not sure if i will get my full cost per wear out of it.. i rotate btw YG and WG quite a lot.

Are there alternatives for this bracelet (for WG stacking purposes)? I cant seem to think of any.. the chalcedony WG one is too similar to the problem i have with the white MOP. While beautiful, i got bored of it in a way and wanting something with contrast. Eg i feel YG with MOP has more contrast in comparison. Or onyx with WG but they only do customs for VIP. -.-

I dont really like white gold from Cartier for some reason..

My wrist are rather small, usually go 16cm bracelets so i find that chain type works better than bangle type for me.. plhs i find bangle type may scratch more easily..wld love to hear your views !

What currency is that?

Depends on your priorities. If cost per wear is your priority will you be able to wear this enough in your daily life? Given that you want WG and contrast this fits the bill. Onyx is a tougher stone and can withstand some hand washes, and you’ve only got 3 of those motifs to worry about. It seems to check your boxes. But only you know whether you will wear it enough. Good luck!!

To echo @EpiFanatic - what currency is this?

Anyhow, I own this bracelet and find it to have been well worth the money. It is gorgeous, durable, and very wearable. It can surprisingly be dressed up or down. I think that stacking it works, and then worn alone it works as it is a statement on its own. I would say that, for the money, this is a great investment piece that can be worn a number of ways - surprisingly even in mixed metal stacks. I have included a some various pics below that I had on my camera roll so hopefully this helps a bit. :flowers:

I agree that this is a very nice option. The wonderful thing about white gold alternating pave is that when the motifs flip (compared to yellow gold pave and pink gold pave), it still looks almost the same on the underside. In the USA (not sure where you are located), the WG Onyx 5 motif is “made to order”, not “special order”, so while you will need to pay a ~35% extra fee, it does not need any purchase history amount to order, like a true special order does currently. Even with the markup, it will be not too much higher than the 5 motif onyx YG, and it sounds like you prefer this combo to the pave.

(Just for people who are shocked at that price, the bracelet is $13,800 USD!)

I have this bracelet and absolutely love it. I prefer to wear mine alone. But I am not sure you really love it, so ordering the wg all onyx, even with a 30-35% increase in price, will still be less than half of the price of the one with the pave.

I had the same thought about the MTO onyx WG 5 motif. For the price, I am guessing it is AUD, and note that tax is included in the online price. Australia seems to have stricter rules for some premium brands like Hermes, compared to USA protocols, so perhaps MTO are not guaranteed to be approved as they are in the USA, but if I were OP I would check with your SA since it seems that you would prefer the nonpave version.

I think it is Singapore??? Australia is even more pricey than the above pic's price. I feel their pain because here in Canada its almost the same price as above.

Anyway, I love this bracelet and of the combination pave/stone options I think this is the hardest wearing of the lot. Only you, OP, can decide but if it is calling you, then it is worth taking a look at it.

Cost per wear is indeed one of my concern, i would say i rotate btw yg and wg so it can be about 50% of the time.. i do love this combo, i am just not sure of the price tag because i also love the Perlee sweet clovers or the regular clovers bangles but as a potential forever piece to pass down to my daughter, i think the 5 motif had more flexibility in terms of sizing.. decisions decisions..

I am in singapore and i think this price can fetch a basic Rolex watch lol, so that is making me hesistate..

Thank you dear.for sharing these photos and your thoughts! It is sooo beautiful! You have an amazing stack, in fact the cartier full pave small as well as perlee clovers are also on my wishlist but i think they will be there for a while! LoL!

Does the onyx bother you sometimes with fingerprint marks?

If you could only get 1 bracelet, would it be the perlee clovers or this?

I like to wear black as much as i like my summer floral dresses, so i was wondering if it will match like girly wispy bohemian outfits

Thanks for sharing this tip about the flipping over, yes at first the flipping also made me hesitate on getting it..

I am in singapore, i did ask about the WG and onyx combo but it is a SO here. But i think i have noticed i need some diamonds in my piece. Eg. Between a plain bangle/ring and one with some diamonds, i will tire easily of the one without diamonds. This is somethhing i learnt of myself after biying and having to sell some pieces lol

Eg. The perlee plain signature bangle in wg was on my wishlist 2 yrs ago, but it dropped off after i tried it in person. It was so light and doesnt feel worth the price tag to me. I guess it didnt wow me..

Because this piece is quite pricey to me and going to be the most pricey single piece of jewellery in my collection, i wld hate to regret it down the road.. my other piece is the guilloche bracelet Yg 5 motif, i love it but i wished i had the guilloche pave version. Haha

If you are hesitating, then pass. I recommend only buying jewelry that you adore so much, you have to wear it out of the store. 14K USD can buy many other options or you can use it towards the perlee clover. @BigAkoya who has helped many of us sort out our deepest jewelry desires once posted that it’s also important to just buy for yourself Bc who knows if the next generation will even like jewelry. . . . (Hope I’m not misquoting her)

I think it’s a gorgeous bracelet

Yes 19,900 is in SGD ..oops i shld have stated. Glad to hear you love your bracelet! I wont be able to order the WG all onyx cos its a SO but i think i would still prefer the one with pave and will love it longer ! Just that i also love the perlee sweet clovers bangle, which is around SGD24000 iirc, so it is quite close in terms of pricing so i wonder if i should get that but it doesnt fulfil that contrasting aspect that I am looking for so i fear i may also tire of it after some time..

Yes i alsp think it will be the hardest wearing and thats why i am drawn to it.. i am just not sure if i will love onyx as much as MOP because onyx is a 'flat' color whereas i really love the MOP lustre.. however, the pave will make me love the bracelet lol!

Thank you, the thing is, i cant seem yo think of any alternatives that tick as much boxes off my list. LoL. The only thing that this is not ticking is the price tag. Like i wonder if there are alternatives with this tag.
