I was trying to purchase a necklace yesterday before the price increase but non of the stores could put sales through as they had frozen the sales!! Very disappointing. the store had the item and I paid with a link, and they still didn't approve it. Ridiculous! So today, my CC is being refunded. This is what was happening in USA VCA
Onyx was $4,200 before tax. I bought mine in March of this year. So I think went up by $400.
I purchased the sweet alhambra 6 motif (RG) on 5/29 for the original 3.3k price here in NYC and was told there it could take up to 6 months to come in. Prior to meeting with my SA i was talking with another customer and she mentioned something about a possible upcoming price increase. I checked today and I see that the price has gone up by $100 as of today. I'm happy I was able to lock in the lower rate and knowing that the value of my bracelet has gone up.
I purchased this as a gift to myself for a big birthday that's coming up next month. Fingers crossed that in comes in sooner than expected!

Correction :
VA onyx bracelet was $4,200 increased by $400 and now is $4,600

That’s so frustrating. They just flat out didn’t let you purchase? I was able to purchase through a link yesterday but still paid the new price -__-
To keep this on topic, some of their increases don’t make sense. The pave sweet Alhambra bracelet went up by $300 but the chalcedony 10 motif went up by $700?? I didn’t think chalcedony was as popular but now I’m thinking to prioritize this piece before it breaks 11k.

I was sent a link , which I used to pay the store. And it didn't get approved until the price changed!! Super frustrating to say the least.
so sorry to hear that. My SA didn't tell me that so many orders came in in the past a few days, they couldn't fulfill all the orders.

Guys I am so confused. I just purchased a YG guilloche 5 motif Alhambra bracelet last week. My SA asked me to pay the deposit (around 30%) and quoted 8-10 month timeframe. I specifically asked her if I'd have to pay the difference in case prices increase from now to when I receive bracelet, she said No you will pay what is the price today. I realized the bracelet costs $500 more today. But the information I received might be wrong?
They’re businesses; their goal is to maximize profits.
An easy way to increase profits is to raise prices. So as long as people keep buying, the prices will keep rising.

Prior to this increase, all 5 motif bracelets in every semi precious stone retails at exactly half of the 10 motif necklaces.
After the increase, the 5 now costs more than the 10.
I believe for the next increase, the 5 and 10 motif will be balanced in pricing again.
I ordered the 10 motif chalcedony, I think it's best to prioritise any 10 motif before the next adjustment.
The pricing strategy was excellent in confusing the shoppers and you could see the least popular items getting a smaller increase in hopes to sell more of.
i heard you would have to pay the price difference if it's not 100% deposit ? where are you located at? i'm in the USA
My SA mentioned today that some orders placed with the original pricing will be cancelled on June 1. He said the boutique was also very surprised by the short notice and new policy to not lock original price.
