Do your bags measure 12cm if so maybe it’s a mistake on the website for the medium size?

The small I had and returned to Luisaviaroma had one slip pocket the medium I have has one zippered pocket. So you think mine is old which is fine as long as it’s not fake lol and yes the small definitely seemed more rigid and the medium is more bendy. The seller did say it was purchased a long time ago and stored so maybe she was telling the truth I’m just old and cynical and now paranoid!

Agree that medium one appears deeper when compared side by side

If yours one appears much bigger, perhaps there was a Large size for Iside? However, the listings I found for Large Iside have 5 feet, not 4, so hmm

Maybe they are just quoting from the size on the website? The medium wouldn’t be wider and taller but same depth or it would be larger disproportionately?

Mine has 4 feet not 5 and is 26cm wide and almost 19cm in height it’s the depth that’s out most. There does seem to be larger ones than the medium which have 5 feet there was one on yoox last week but that stated it measured 30 cm width if I remember correctly. This is a good lesson to me to ask all questions before purchasing a brand you haven’t before! Does the very light coloured interior mean you have to be careful of colour transfer say from a wallet as I need to get one of those if I can find one in the sale this time from a stockist so I don’t have to bother anyone again 🙂

Sorry for being late. Here are the pictures of my medium iside. The depth is much longer on mine like 13.5cm. It’s about 18cm or 18.5cm tall depending on how you measure it. Mine was purchased straight from NYC valextra boutique long time ago which doesn’t exist any longer. I looked at your detailed photos. It looks fine. All the fonts of the engraving seems to be correct. Leather seems to be right as well. Those are the details the fake ones can’t get quite right.

Both have wide shoulder strap that can be worn on the shoulder only. Medium Brera has a front flat compartment locked with a clasp and then a main compartment with a flat inner pocket, the top flap is magnetic (note: micro Brera has only one main compartment locked by a clasp and a flat inner pocket). Triennale has only one main compartment, but two inner pockets, one front flat pocket and one back zipped pocked. Capacity wise the bags are similar, can fit a small bottle of water, an umbrella, and IPad and so on, but Triennale has a more sleek look and is narrower at the top, while Brera in comparison is a bit bulky.

I’ve added a comparison shot of mini Iside to medium Brera to show how much larger Brera is. For some reason, I can’t find medium Brera on Valextra website, not sure if they’re starting to phase out this style, but if you’re looking for an alternative to LV Capucines BB, I think medium Brera is a great pick (and much cheaper than LV 😄). Given my medium Brera is in exotic python leather I haven’t worn it as much as my other handbags, but I’m still glad it’s part of my collection.

Finally, comparing all the Valextra leathers:
- Millipunte is scratch-resistant and has a great durability
- Smooth shiny calfskin is nice to the touch and has a very sleek look, but it’s prone to scratches (though with time some smooth out a bit and become not as visible, depends on the light). One day I ended up without umbrella with my Triennale while queuing outside Vatican and despite raining the bag didn’t get any water damage 🙂
- Smooth calfskin of my Flute bag is very delicate and already has some scratches but it doesn’t bother me, as the quality of the leather is amazing and I love how soft to the touch it is
- as mentioned above, given python leather is a bit more delicate, I haven’t worn my Brera much yet, it’s a special piece I’ll be using for certain occasions 🐍

I hope this review helps to anyone looking to add Valextra to their collection, I love the brand and cannot stress enough how amazing the quality of their pieces is! ❤️ I think I reached a purse piece when it comes to my Valextra collection 😅 also if they’ll keep phasing out some of their classic designs, I’ll definitely be an #oldvalextra fan 😄 (still not a fan of their latest Milano bag, a dupe to Birkin 🙈)

Thankyou so much, I also rang the London Valextra store and the ones they had in stock the sales assistant hand measured and the measurements were the same as mine and yours 🙂
