I just bought a Valentina at Marshall's this weekend. Absolutely fabulous light tan butter-soft leather hobo, single leather strap. It was marked down from $129 to $99, and I, too walked around with it, trying to talk myself out of buying it. But it was just soooo gorgeous that I chalked it up to an "investment."
I thought that I had seen Valentina as one of the brands that Neiman-Marcus carries, or once carried, and that they were very fine Italian leather. I may be mistaken, but I always was under the impression that it was a high-end accessories company.
In any event, when you find a bag that's made of the kind of quality leather like the ones I've seen with the Valentina trademark, it's worth the investment!

I hate to burst any bubbles here but I'm pretty sure Valentina is a store brand for Marshall's/TJMax. I think they are taking advantage of the fact that peoples' memory is not always very exact - Valentino - is a very well-known expensive brand that has been around for decades. I doubt you will ever find a Valentino on sale at Marshall's. Careful internet research reveals that no other stores sell the Valentina brand and the company website inpell.it is definitely not up to par for a serious brand.

Having said that, I just bought a Valentina purse at Marshall's yesterday for $99 and I love it. It's exactly what I was looking for in a casual bag - dark chocolate brown pebbled leather with SILVER metal. The leather trim is a somewhat lighter color leather and it's thicker and smooth. The bag is a little on the large size but it's light weight and easy to carry. The strap can lengthen to wear it across your body which I love for longer outings. The leather is soft and it has a rich, elegant feel so they are definitely doing alot right even if they are not actually a well-known designer brand.

someone here said that it was popular in italy.....

I've only ever seen that brand at Marshalls (though it prob is other places...)

The leather does look nice, but I can't help but think the name is trying to work off of Valentino a bit and that makes me a little leery...

Hi JJ ,

Have you been able to find an online store yet? I am interested in Valentina purses too.
I checked out Marshalls in Loveland and T.J. Max in Fort Collins Co but could not find any yet.

Thanks.

Dani

I just came back from a recent trip in Italy, while in Sorrento I came across a lovely and quaint 100% leather store. In there, I bought a bag with the label "Valentina Made in Italy". It wasn't until now that I realized, I wasn't all that special for buying this bag, because I read you can buy it Marshalls! So much for wanting to be different after years of owning Coach bags. Anyways, the bag is very well made and the leather is divine. You can tell the quality, soft, pebbled leather and the smell of it is like stepping into a new car with leather seats. I am pleased with my bag and can confirm that it is a bag made and sold in Italy! Too bad, it wasn't a secret I thought I only knew about this brand! Either way, you won't be disappointed.

I do not know what Marshall store you checked out but here in Co. Fort Collins and Loveland area I have not been able to find any Valentina handbags.

Few years ago I visited Rome but at that time I did not know about this brand.

I guess I am not that lucky:-(

I will keep looking though.

I own a forest green Valentina tote (from Marshalls) and a smaller white with natural leather trim Valentina (also from Marshalls) and the leather quality is excellent on both bags. No complaints here!!
