I dropped my new ring off at Tiffany tonight to be reset in a new flawless band. I miss her already! BUT as an awesome consolation, my SA gave my husband and I complimentary his and her passport covers and his and her luggage tags for our upcoming January vacation. Yay for free stuff! :yahoo:

WOWWEEE what a ring! My jaw dropped - that is crazy beautiful!!! Did you get a brand new ring or did you do the upgrade/trade-in within 5 years deal? And that's really cool how your SA gave you free stuff. All we got were bottled Arrowhead waters haha.

Wear the ring in good health (and please don't inadvertently blind yourself whilst driving). I agree that a lot of people blanch when they hear about Tiffany rings (my mom and her friends for instance) but we don't care - it's what we love, we're the ones wearing it, and we won't settle for anything less!

We did the trade in deal which worked out great. We got 97% of the first ring's purchase price toward the second ring which was a nice surprise since I figured the "fee" would have been more. Honestly I don't understand why you don't get 100% but I'll take what I can get. (Just seems silly to me because they say that you only get the value of the diamond and that the difference is the cost of the platinum. But since they keep the platinum too it seems like you should be compensated for it.) Thanks for your sweet comments! :hugs:

Tiffany wants our money! And they want it bad! haha. Well I think you got a GREAT deal. My SA told me that on average, people only get around 95% or even less back from their original purchase. I know it's only a 2% difference, but that's still more money towards your new ring! But I also agree that they should just give us 100% of the value we paid for the ring. It makes the trade up plan more enticing! Oh well!
