UPDATE!! The ring is here! Stress be gone! (pics pg 18)

I have it. It's pretty nice! A ot lower than I expected but not lower than my w-band. It creates a tiny gap but nothing major enough to sweat. I will need a plain separator for sure. My diamond band will eat this. He is pricing a plain and to match his way and vatches way. Hopefully close in price but I doubt it. I recall GOG telling me 1400 or something equally retarded.

the 'nick' is actually a dent. I didn't see it til I louped. DK said he took extensive photos to alert them. I don't think I'd send back for this. Perhaps to make higher overall but I'll see how I feel next weekend after a week of wear.

it's amazing. And I agree I overreacted with stress. But he appreciated that they followed my explicit instruction.

oh and aside from that dent thing it's loupe perfect.

when I get home from my consultations I'll take hpotos!!!

I am relieved. I think after we get back from our trip I might have him send it in to fix that nick for sure, I found it without the loupe when the light hit it right. It's not horrible but it's there. I am going to give it a week on the height and see what I think. I think I pictured it as higher overall than this, though maybe that is just me.

I should be done with my next bride in an hour so I can do photos then.

This ring is almost loupe-perfect. I am VERY impressed with their workmanship, though still QUITE soured on it all.

The nick/dent thing that he showed me with the loupe, I finally saw with bare eyes. It needed light to hit it JUST right. That we will have fixed but probably not for a few weeks. I might wait on all things til after Xmas. He was glad I agreed with him to fix that bec he said it bugged him. I might have found someone who "gets me".

The height is a point of contention for me. I expected it WAY higher and it feels "squat" to me. I don't know if that was a skewed vision in my head but I feel like it was supposed to be higher. It seems like the side prongs are "sticky-outy" in a weird way and even with the spacer I am a bit concerned my band will hit it and sever a prong.

Though when I have a matching plain band that will be resolved, and I am strongly pondering having him rework my SP band to have a better profile in the band, perhaps fishtail pave style. I love how it looks but the exposed girdles makes me a bit nervous. It got banged off the head of my old ring too and that caused damage to both.

Here is the before:

why did you create a new thread for your pics? you should post in your old thread as people are asking...:graucho:

either way, it's stunning. i am so glad it's exactly what you were hoping it would be.

OT—you look like you're wearing the same nail polish as me. are you wearing "in the shadows" by sephora for OPI?
