thanks! Yes, it would be one bezel and one micropave most likely. I don't want matchy matchy at all.

I would go with the smaller, elegant round diamond stackables so that they don't take the emphasis away from your solitaire. I would also go that route because if you change your mouting on the solitaire over the years, the bands will still match, kwim? Also you can get more later and wear them alone when you are not in a blingy mood!

Gorgeous. Sapphire and diamonds look beautiful together, very classic.

My mom has a channel set sapphire and diamond band that my dad gave her many years ago, and wears it every now and then. I'm also thinking of a blue or pink sapphire and diamond eternity band for my (future) set.

Let us know what you try on and what you like! :D

Yes, I really like this one too! I like the idea of having both thin bands on one side of the ring--there's something about the asymmetry that I like. I personally like the bands to be the same but if you want to mix it up go for it! I'd love to see pics once you have decided. Good luck with your decision!!

^^ wooo...I love Catherine Zeta Jones and how to stack a few of the bands together. You can even stack your engagement in between of those bands.

Since you're going to have both either way (new setting and bands) I would get the bands first....more rings and now! That way, when you do get your ring reset into that beautiful setting you'll have some gorgeous bands to keep your finger from being naked. If I had my pick I would do that saphire/diamond one for sure. I love sapphires!

ITA...I've seen your ering, & it's classic, so the setting will disappear IMO. I also have heard you talking about stacking several different bands for a while now, so I think that's where your heart really is.

if it were me, I'd get a thin pave band for the sparkle, then the princess/round eternity. I am completely obsessed with that design. then you can get a matching tennis bracelet...hehehe!!! :nuts:

I think that will hold you over until you get a new setting. I definitely get the vibe from you that multiple different stacked bands is the thing you've been dreaming of. it's my dream too!!! I even stack bands with my gemstone rings.

ET, I will either get a better solitaire setting w/ a basket and 4 claws or that tapered baguette Harry Winston style mounting. Either way actually, I'll choose one eventually.

I am going for the stacked bands, I'll post the ones I choose later tonight.

Swanky are you looking for w/g or plat? have you checked out Bluenile.com? They have the thin shared prong bands,pave ones etc. My DH has bought me a couple things frm there and I've been extremely pleased!
