I'd pick the one on the right. More pebbled. More textured look. That's my preference.
If there's a newer PA coming out that is somewhat different, fancier, I'd definitely get it. I've been using mine for over 10 years! I got mine when we first saw Sarah Jessica Parker rock hers at an event.

So I need help with a decision...got this PA a week ago, haven't used it once and I just noticed bit of cracking on the edge....I feel like after some usage the crack is going to widen more...I'd expect cracks/wear&tear after few years of usage but not when I just bought it...should I be annoyed by it? (I bought 2 other PA's from the same location and both bags had stitching/cracks/lining issues in various places so I returned them...I bought mini DE from another location and no problems whatsoever) Can't tell if this issue is with this particular store or is the issue with certain canvases...Anyways should I keep this or return it?
I don’t see the mentioned cracking? Are you referring to where the stitchings are?
Above the thread that goes across.....and how the stitchings below the thread are more apparent on the right side than the left...it didn't come out clear on camera...
I think I see what you mean now, when comparing left vs right. That cut is normal but uneven is ehh (kind of annoying). I should checkout if my DE is uneven too....But if it bothers you, return it. Whatever makes you happy ^^
I was thinking it wasn't normal cause the mono I had before didn't have that cut in that particular region...but I hate keep having to go to return especially when they don't readily have these in stock for me to compare and with the uncertainty of discontinuation...so my concern was will the cut expand more and rip throughout the bag after few years of usage..I don't really carry all that much to the point of a bulge..thanks for your response though

Wait for me, I’ll try to take some pictures so we can compare. I have the mini pochette with me and it doesn’t show that.
Okie dokie I'll wait...yeah I have the mini as well and there are no stitching defects or canvas peels...just the crappy unmatched hardware that discolors which allegedly is the norm..
Attached DE NM PA and I noticed my 8 year old LE mono MP is similar like yours.
