I just did a "do-it-myself" home dye job with indigo on a Tigre Royal 90 silk. The original color was pink, gold, and white. It was an old scarf with stains, pulls, and a hole, so I got it at a very low price. I purchased it specifically for this "experiment", and didn't really care if it didn't turn out well, but I think it looks pretty good.

Looks great!

Thanks--now inspired to try it myself soon!

Job well done! Have you done this before? Just curious what prompted the idea?

Yes !!! Well done with "le tigre ".... I even tried on a cotton scarf... what do you think ?

WOW! That looks fantastic! Your first photo of it lying flat I have to be honest, I thought I preferred the original colour way, but seeing it on you, I LOVE what you have done! Perfect and so much more versatile!

This is great too! What promoted you to do it?

Fabfashion, nofrills, Kitty S., imoline, and antheakate - Thank you all for your comments and compliments!

imoline - I love your BdeG En Disordre!! Nice job on that!!

I had already set out to make a project out of overdyeing an old scarf. The original colorway is beautiful, but I thought the indigo would, IMO, give it a more modern, casual look. This scarf had many stains, so I made it an experiment. It is quite a liberating experience, as I usually baby my scarves. I'm pleased with the results.

Thanks... I have been making my own dip dyed scarves since the beginning of my Hermes addiction...I have quite the collection now
this one I purchased it as a white and black... and I received it... well more grey with stains... so... it became blue within 2 hours of reception...and I love it that way....
