Yep! I had to "Settle" on this one also. We spent more than we wanted to, but we also had to go with what was likely secondhand. Like someone traded it in at some point. Which is FINE BY ME.

...Though shrinkage is a horrible thing. lol

LOL .... oh the things we "settle" for. Just like I "settled" for my F color since they didn't have a G color for what I wanted... LOL

I also don't think i'd mind a traded in stone if it was amazing and what I wanted. At least you know you have the quality of the old cutters versus getting a new one that might not be as good. A lot of older designer products I prefer the older versions because the quality was so much better.

Shrinkage? already? Your e-ring substantially grew from original and the size does look amazing on you! But that's just me. Do you think the band width of the wedding band will really bother you?

Personally, I think your E-ring would skyrocket at least 1/2 a carat if you added a 1mm spacer to the mix (like mine!)

This 1mm spacer is like the "push up" bra of rings! :D

Ame, do I hear you're looking to upgrade your centre stone?? :graucho:

Now, don't give her any more ideas! Seriously!:p

Listen Missy.....don't get everything all at once! That's what Anniversaries are for!!!! ;)

I'm considering conceiving triplets so that I can get me some long overdue "push" presents!!!

And my DH is on notice to find me a Birkin so I can cart around my puppy in style! :D
Muhahaha you are killing me! The puppy def needs a Birkin! For practical reason of course:D

Hehe does triplets mean three push presents or one big one? Hmmm twins do run in my family.... My Sis is pregnant and she was just talking about push presents.

Triplets mean 3 stone ring, or necklace earrings ring set, or three birkins to use as nappy bags.

...Though shrinkage is a horrible thing. lol

Shrinkage already??? *faints*

I agree! A spacer does wonders!

I do think so, it's a hair wider than the other band that we remade and I already thought that was kind of wide. But despite my 1/3ct growth from the original, my eye did get used to it pretty quick!!! haha!!

I did not really have an issue with it being a "used" stone at all, I think DH did though. But we knew that cut well so we wanted what we expected it to look like. I also didn't mind that it was a "lower" color either, though if I ever do upgrade I will probably go up in color a couple kicks since that will be the end of the road.

When the company got taken over a few years ago I hoped it would not change how they did things but it did. Boo hiss.

I am hoping my friend gets one so that I can borrow it for a second. I am fighting myself. I don't want it to be seen at all, OR I want the plain band to match. I feel like if it's visible I am back where I am now with the 2mm.

Well I've had the stone for just over a year and a half ;) so it's not that far off. lol I had shrinkage within 6 months! Doh!

I wonder if that guy takes returns...

Ame - Once again I'm late to the party, I'm so sorry this has all happened to you, I hope they can pull their heads out of their asses and get it fixed once and for all.

Speaking of push presents, not to derail in any way, but I have an acquaintence whom had a baby about 4 months ago. She DEMANDED her husband get her SOMETHING with a PINK diamond (they were having a girl, she would have demanded a blue diamond if it was a boy), so he bought her this lovely haloed pink diamond necklace. The diamond was about 1/2 carart, but very, very pink.

Well, she's a wretched human being because she just filed for divorce from him because she can't "handle" being a mother and the post partum is getting to her. And this is where a push present can backfire. I feel so bad for that guy.....

Anyway...yes, Contessa, Lola demands a Birkin!!!

...wow. That is appalling. I hope he takes the gift away.

i hope he takes the child away!

The last I heard she's ditching both because she's an awful human being. He loves that little girl more than anything, so the baby is definitely WITH the right parent!

I have no idea about the gifts, but I know the husband makes a fair amount of money, hopefully she won't get any of her greedy little paws on it!

Either way really. I personally think it should be the same metal as the other rings...If I do it Ill get a 1mm platinum band. I may see if I like it first and if not return it and just save for a matching one for the Vatche.

If he has the right lawyer, she won't get a dime nor will she get access to the child. I have to say there was something around this on Private Practice, that she was so messed up after her son was born (ripped from her by a crazy patient) that she walked away for a while til she was ready. If your "Friend" could be in this mindset great, but wow.

To be fair to me...she isn't a "friend', I know her through professional contacts. I think I have a slightly better judge of character than that! :p:p
