Ok this is just me ranting and venting. It's too late to go elsewhere, I just have to friggin wait MORE.

I went to pick up my resized rings today, the w-band is perfect. The ering is probably a hair smaller than I'd like but I am going to leave it because it felt ok. BUT...

The jeweler told me there was a problem when he called. The company that sized it (the one that made the band, that does repair work for brands like Tiffany!) REMOVED THE VATCHE TRADEMARK. Yes. Seriously. WHY? They can't seem to give us a reason. They never asked. They just did it. They left the metal stamp as it was, and never mentioned that they removed it!

The jewelers head was about to pop off his neck, as was mine. So now we have to hope that Vatche will replace that. I am PISSED.

I wanted it for a HUGE meeting Thursday, which will not happen now. Spinning off of that thread about rings pissing other women off...I have gotten nothing but crap from some of the snotty jerks I went to school with about how I made up being married or that my ring is fake or doesn't exist because "they've never seen it therefore I am making it up". So it wasn't so much that I wanted to piss her off, as I wanted some vindication. Oh well.

I debated that...and almost think I should've but I decided it wasn't worth making another trip. I might as well just do it. I never want to deal with ANY of these people again so the sooner I can be done the better. SK and I do not live near this guy really, it's not easy or quick to get there at all.

Can you keep it and wear it for your meeting and then send it to have the trademark put back on it?

ITA, is it possible to wait a bit? Man, that sucks, I'm so sorry Ame. I noticed when I had my DF's ring placed with sizing beads at Tiffany, whoever did it (assuming it was the same company as yours) placed the beads all wacky (at 6 o'clock and 3 o'clock instead of 8 and 4). Then when we went to get the beads resized down and replaced at 8 & 4 o'clock, the Tiffany inscription, which looked perfectly straight came back warped and slanted looking, but completely removing the stamp is OUTRAGEOUS!

I need to get it reinsured with the Vatche. As of now if something happens to it, the setting is not covered beyond the basic cheap one I had originally. So Ill be out the funds to replace that. So I cannot get it reappraised or reinsured without that stamp.

:wtf:

That is HORRIBLE! I've heard that some jewelers will lose a LITTLE bit of the logo and emblem when resizing but completely taking it away is ridiculous! People can go on and on about how it doesn't matter because no one sees it but it's a mind thing too! I want to know that the inside has the friggin stamp! And time to send it back to get insured too. Poor thing!

And that sucks so much about not having it for the meeting. Ugh! And I'm surprised you haven't strangled someone yet!

Hopefully it all works out and you can have your rings soon. Any way to rush it overnight/same day delivery?

He is overnighting it there, and hoping they'll just do it right then and send it right back out that day for overnight. Most jewelers or operations like this overnight for insurance and security reasons, so that's covered but the timeline for when they get it to when they do it....who knows.

I seriously knew when I got the call today it wasn't going to be quite as perfect. So I was slightly on edge anyway....

Gosh Ame! I've been following your saga...I can't believe everything that you've been through. Hopefully Vatche will do the right thing and you get ring back and on your finger soon!

This entire process with your rings is beyond nightmareish. It's almost like these idiots are deliberately messing up to tick you off.
As far as these snobby women you went to school with, tell them to just off the near window ledge. lol
Wear your wedding ring for your meeting. You have something very nice in that band.
Once you get everything straightened out with the engagement ring, avoid this jeweler at all times!!

Do you have OCD?

I have NEVER in my life seen anyone with so much obsession about her many series of e-rings and wedding rings.

Not to upset you, but you seem like you will ALWAYS find fault with something regarding these rings.

I think that's sad.

I don't think the snot is anyone you went to school with....I think the snotty attitude is YOURS and YOURS ALONE!

Get over it and enjoy your ring.

huh??!!.....anyway

I'm so sorry this has happened! What in the WORLD was this jeweler doing?!!!! As soon as you get this sorted and you have your ring I would definitely stay away from this jeweler!
