I'm aussuming your husband is a jeweler. A couple questions (I know nothing about jewels and I what to learn)
1. What is a venus diamond?
2. How much would your DH sell this necklace for?
3. This is your necklace correct? If so DAM you go your gonna put Liz Taylor to SHAM -- THis necklace is absolutley BEAUTIFUL

It's very strange being married to a jeweler. You would think they would want to just hand you things yada yada but they don't lol! So he can go on thinking it's the companies but Cinderella will stay with me.Edited to add... He will never be selling it!

I hope I can have this type of "control" when I get married. Cinderella is beautiful and worth every penny. Although just to put it into perspective that's as much as my dental education has cost me (actually just a little more).I love love the necklace and thank you for the info on the diamonds. About how long did it take you to "collect" all the diamonds (how many?). Do is the venus cut like a hearts and arrows diamond? I actually have no clue what a hearts and arrow diamond is I just see a billboard for one on my way home every day:shame: (yep been living in a study box for about 10 yrs. this is the last semester of school and I'm slowing making my why back into the world
)Poor thing!! Well welcome back!!! Yes the hearts and arrows are fancy cuts as well. You can only really get the "heart" thing when you turn the diamond over. Well for me that is I guess. Anyway the Venus is a much more sparkely diamond shall we say? It has more cuts than a regular brilliant and it gets more light into the heart of it.
It took close to five years to amass all the right kind of diamonds for her. Each one is totally flawless and has no color.
As for cost for someone just to buy one like her (they will never get Cinderella) the price would raise close to or above 750k for retail. It is rare to have a necklace made purely out of all fancy cuts and to have them flawless and colorless as well is even more rare.

What is the official name for that one? Every March & Aug there is a wholesale jewelry show at the Mirage. I will have to come to the one at the Venetian. I have a special bday this year & DH promised me some goodies!
