UK Price Rise Monday?

OMG an Alma for under £300! how long ago was this? I'm shocked that the designer handbag market seems to survive constant price hikes, that said I certainly see a lot more people carrying expensive handbags these days so there must be plenty of demand. Where I live it seems everyone carrys Mulberry or canvas LV.

I don't know about Mulberry but I've noticed about half of the LV I see carried around are fake. I wonder if these frequent price increases for the UK are going to increase business for the knock off market.

It would be interesting to get some data on the subject. But I think, independently of the retail price, some people find it acceptable to buy counterfeit items and others would never buy one. There is a moral component to such purchases.

Are the prices in the stores the same as online? I'm going to UK to visit friends in a couple of weeks and I thought I would buy something cheaper than in my own country, I don't like this price increase

The first LV item I brought was a neverfull MM was March 2015 it was £710 it's now £880.

My first LV item was also the Neverfull MM which I bought in 2013. It was without the pouch and was £480!

If you are flying out of the EU then you can get the VAT (tax) free price at Heathrow airport Terminal 5.

I found this significantly cheaper than buying in my home country

I too brought the Neverfull at that price, can't believe how much it is now! Same with my Speedy 30, think that was somewhere around the £460 mark when I purchased it as my first LV piece.

Yes, most people are saving up for their purchases so every time there's an increase people in the UK will have to save for longer but then the price increases again! My Neverfull GM cost me around £790 in March. Can't believe it's £925 already.

I bought the jungle NF in April for £885. Now they are £1100. The Epi is even worse £1390 now

I am going to be in London in a couple of weeks and want to pick up a strap for the MC Alma I just got (my first LV bag ), and it is a lot cheaper (even with VAT included) than it is here in the US and only a few dollars more than the pre-owned strap I just lost out on in bidding on eBay, once you factor in the VAT refund. Most of the pre-owned straps around have a lot of patina but my bag is in nearly mint condition so little patina has developed and a new strap is a better match for it.
