Since the lining is attached to the bag you may not be able to do much without damaging the leather. I tried to get a professional leather cleaner to clean a lining in one of my bags and they wouldn't touch it because they couldn't turn the lining inside out away from the leather itself. I'd ask a pro rather than trying a DIY on this one!
