Thank you for your replies!

Its quite a feat to bank wire $$ to these sellers and then hope & pray they are trustworthy!

Is there any other options in which we are protected? Does Paypal protect us from fraud and non-delivery? Most of the times, as the transaction is a big amount, bank wire is used ? I want to buy a b35 Black GHW but am afraid due to the big amount!

Please advise a best option? I would really like to purchase from Sophie, and like what lady786 mentioned, she's really nice!

Please take PayPal questions to the Ebay/shopping forum - the ladies there are great and can give very good answers.

I had bought 2 bags from bradedluxus (Yvonne) and payment by wire transfer, was worried but she is a honest seller and she follow up the tracking with me through out. Which makes me feel secure. Great seller in Malleries.

Hi! Has anyone bought from Brandedluxus on Malleries?

Great seller from Swiss, Yvonne is her name. Did 2 transactions and went on smoothly with her. Was worried as payment by wire, but she went through the whole process with me by tracking the items and ensure I receive it. Communication by email was prompt except when she was sleeping (haha).

Hello! I wanted to post that I had a very positive transaction with Mimiaction (ebay) for the purchase of an Hermes Birkin. It was authenticiated here first. I was nervous to purchase from overseas (Taiwan) and how the process would work but shipping was very fast (shipped on 1/30 arrived to me in US on 2/4 - tracking info was prompty provided). Also, I did not have to pay any import/duty fees and the Birkin was in very, very good condition (even better than I expected)!

Hoping maybe my experience can help someone else and a BIG thanks to tPF members for all the information shared and the hard work/opinions of the authenticators to help us "newbies" purchased much longed for items! It's much appreciated! :smile1:

I have noticed that Mimiaction has very attractive prices, but I assumed that there would be import/duty fees. There is probably a thread about this somewhere, but I don't have a clue when import fees are charged and how much they are. PinkGeranium--do you know why you were not charged?

This is really outside the scope of the thread. Could you please check in the EBay subforum on this? Thanks.

Hello. No, I am not sure why nothing was charged. Some sort of customs form was attached and filled out but there were no monetary amounts on it that I could read. Also, when I was tracking the package there was an area for custom to show if it was "dutiable or non-dutiable" but it was not filled in on the tracking screen. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Also, customs had inspected and re-taped the box. Still, I don't know why nothing was charged. It was the first time I've ever bought from overseas.

Beware this seller and this Etoupe 30 Birkin.
Seller: miyakeboo
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150746748832&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123

The seller has tried to sell it under 2 previous usernames (HPsaucy2012 and 2011-pippa) and had created this name for the third attempt. I know all this as I bought it subject to authentication and paid the fabulous bababebi to authenticate it. After receiving the damning report from Bababebi I informed the seller and she immediately cancelled the sale.
Ebay fraud were advised of all usernames and item numbers but when someone keeps creating new user accounts I am not sure what they can do.

Beware: The fake 30 Birkin is back under a new seller ID. The seller changed her 2011-pippa ID to isaakkeane and is trying to sell the bag again.

I dont think it is right to post things like this and not explain what happened: it is really not fair to the seller or potential buyers. making a negative and vague statement with no supporting facts is dangerous: we dont know if its because the seller wouldnt negotiate to her liking; if it had to so with the condition of a bag; maybe it took a long time to arrive or god forbid there was an authenticity issue. i personally think the original post should be removed unless the poster is going to explain her comments.

As the saying goes, your mileage may vary with a particular seller. There are some mentioned with whom I would never again do business and others rave about them, because they had a fantastic experience and I did not.

The purpose of this thread is for comments regarding transactions with sellers. I don't know the details of this transaction and this thread isn't the place for a private grievance to become public. However, there is nothing in this post that warrants removal. All audreylita said is that she did not have a positive experience and won't be dealing with the seller again. That's basically what most of the comments in this thread are like.

I understand what your are saying but i still think its irresponsible to make a comment with no explanation whatsoever. I dont recall any comments that were overtly negative about any seller with absolutely no facts to back it up. I have done business with that seller and now it concerns me to do so again (and probably other potential buyers) even though I dont know anything.....
