I am too often shocked at how ignorant all those resellers are about leathers and colors of Hermes bag . (unless they have the receipt in hands, they are unable to name a color or a leather). They havent done any homework. I hate that.
In my opinion, that says a lot about how they will treat the bag, the buyer and the seller all together.
Their business model is not based on anything related to the product.

Why don’t you guys consign with Vestiaire Collective? They have a different model and basically they only handle the item after it’s sold just to authenticate it.
The only thing I like about VC is that you can ship the bag after it’s sold, you’re absolutely right. On the other hand, after the bad stories I read I’m hesitant To sell through them :( at the same time I dont want to ship a brand new sealed bag to someone else and not knowing how they will handle the bag. I take very good care of my bags, I have very old bags that look like new. I would want someone to treat my items the way I do.

Hello everyone,

I’m a new member; I am sure what I am about to say was discussed in this thread earlier;I tried reading but haven’t found anything yet.

I bought a birkin in size 30 a while ago, and Everyone says that the colour is beautiful (it’s blue pale) I regret it now; I’m more into classic colours:sad:

I haven’t used it and I want to sell it, tried some local resellers with no luck yet. I want to know which website/reseller would you recommend (with the best payout of course). I was considering Vestiaire collective or eBay but after the stories I heard I’m a bit hesitant. thank you in advance lovelies ;)

right.
But they are no experts at all (not meaning the other ones are expert)

Take a look at the Vestiare thread -- it is massive and full of problems. The benefit to Vestiare as far as I can tell is that it has an EU location and EU buyers don't have the same tax worries as buying from outside the EU. They are not professionally operated IMHO when compared with big US resellers like AFF. (Acknowledging that there are people who have had problems with all resellers at one time or another.)

I have sold my clothes through them, every season, for the the past couple of years. Very happy with their system. You can set the prices and let the market determine if they are worth it or not.

For my next K I'm going to the preloved market. But my SA knows. I was browsing the sites last night, there's like so much options. My first herbag is a used one and still in pristine condition. It's the size, color everything I wanted...
I'm telling you ladies. Just like the above poster said if the process affects you so much and compromises your dignity-reseller route is the way. You get your bag in a few days. cha-ching! :P

Which reseller do you recommend ?

I’ve had great experiences with Fashionphile, Yoogi’s Closet, and Ann’s Fabulous Finds.
I’ve had generally good experiences with Ann’s, they are reliable with a few minor issues.
I love Jemznjewels, Rachel has been around for a very long time. She’s not large like the websites and her stock is limited, but she does get amazing pieces. Her stock tends to move too quickly for her website, so I follow her on IG @JNJNYC

Not sure if this is the right place to post; I've tried searching the threads but haven't found any specific information that would help answer my questions.

What has been everyone's experience with purchasing from the Christie's auctions? I'm aware there's a buyer's premium of 25% and your own country's sales tax will apply. The lots have a "cost calculator" function that includes costs of loss, damage, and liability and shipping. I was just curious if anyone had a ballpark figure/ or an idea of what the costs were. Thanks! :)

So far i have found luxlexicon to be of rude manner when trying to purchase. Even broaching the subject of "paypal" seems to strike a nerve with them. As a fellow business owner myself i never speak to customers in a rude manner even if i may not agree with certain terms they are requesting because i always run on the idea that even if they dont buy now who is not to say they wont buy later on my terms.
So far i have found these Instagram sellers to be reputable and friendly(some based on experience of friends only and couple having dealt with personally but all i have spoken too in potential dealings) @finklepuff @luxestation @luxeprive @glamshock
finklepuff says they currently don’t take PayPal and if I have a problem with it to not buy from them. So I guess I won’t :/

Hello everyone
I’m a new member & i’m in need of some help. I have brand new black c24 epsom phw that i’m trying to rehome. I’m only 5’ and its too big for me.I’m based in Dubai & we have like 3 consignment stores only. They offered $7000 for the bag which is too low considering it’s a full set & brand new. Can you guys suggest as to where i can put the bag up for sale?
