Tricks of the trade- How do YOU clean patent leather?

Never even thought to use Vaseline to bring shine back to my patents. I may give it a try on the underside of a bag that I've used nail polish remover on before. It lost a bit of its' shine from doing so (nothing too obvious or bad).

I work for Roger Vivier and have friends in Louboutin and Dior. Windex is king. Dior uses it to clean up finger marks (Got that tip when I bought my Lady Dior). Also, someone told me makeup remover, although I'm not sure which formulation would work. I stick with windex (ammonia free). It also adds shine back into the material (no idea how). In the past I have used Mr. Clean Eraser (original) on my nude patent to remove "stains" in the leather but I noticed it took away some of the sheen.
