I must've missed the part where she mentioned she was a "veteran" in shopping.

Thank you for your service!

the sentence was

'Tbh I’m too veteran for this new person to play this game with me as I shopped at Hermes worldwide for 10 years now.'

more idiomatically you would expect: I'm too much of a veteran. . .
similarly in this context you would expect: as I have shopped . . .
they might be subtle, but they are what made me wonder

Late to this conversation, it is also strange to bump a thread with last post from MONTHS ago…just to say something like that. whoever metioned DYKWIA is right on the money

I know, right!? However, I give all props to anyone who can write and speak conversationally in more than one language. But from one woman to another, instead of describing myself as veteran, I always go with Dowager Empress.

Just to be fair, she originally posted her compliant in this gem of a thread:
but mods transferred her post this one because it had nothing to do with Hermes being "unfair, deceptive and fraudulent"

Op posted her instagram account name, which of course, I reviewed. I dare say the OP is projecting when she says Hermes is being deceptive and fraudulent. Those in glass houses should not throw stones.

Thank you for this gem now… great pass time while i am here waiting for my long delayed flight

I always wear a laminated printout of my shopping history (by years and $ amount) around my neck every time I go into the store.
Benefits: I never receive subpar customer service as the previous poster has described
Negatives: Having to relaminate a new printout after ever purchase.. and the stares

You owe me a new keyboard after I spit out my entire drink while reading your comment!:lol::lol:

Wandering into the Hermes boutique in Short Hills NJ, I inquired after the SA I typically work with who was out sick. There was a lovely display Garden Party 30 and I asked to see it for a size reference. It was not in a case just on a shelf. The SA carried it over to a case and then opened a drawer, took out a lovely silk pair of gloves for herself and then handed me a pair of very used, dirty white cotton gloves, and instructed me to don them before touching the bag. I asked for a clean pair and she refused to provide them. After several long seconds of staring incredulously at her and feeling embarrassed for her lack of manners and protocol, I requested that she just show me the bag herself and told her that I didn't need to touch it. I thanked her and walked away. Having been to Hermes Boutiques worldwide, I know this isn't the usual experience. Everyone had always been gracious and professional. Oh well.

Sadly, this is a very common behavior at SH.
