Treatment in Hermes Stores

I walked into H Madison today when it was not really busy with an armful of bracelets and my Evelyne and was once again ignored. Really unbelievable. This just affirms that I will be doing all my H business from now on with my wonderful SA in KOP.

My friend also hates H madison because of their attitude, and my friend has bought numerous Birkins, other H bags, and accessories from them before. Unbelievable.

I am not familiar with that shop. However I just want to say some locations have been wonderful to me as a random walk in, and some have been absolutely horrible. I can only conclude some SAs and locations are better than others. The ones that are better get my business. The ones who ignore me do not get my business. ;--)

Precisely! I've been treated wonderfully as a walk-in many times, just never at Madison, which is why I will never purchase anything there. So perhaps the SA's have figured me out in that regard haha.

I can't brag on Hermes Atlanta enough. I received amazing service, and was able to have extensive bag chat with the gentleman who sends items off for repair. It was like sitting down for tea with an old friend, and instead of gossiping about everyone around, we were talking H. The SAs were incredibly kind, attentive and so very helpful. It was a wonderful experience. I was so nervous walking in, as I hadn't been there before, but they put me at ease immediately.

Just want to share some insights from SA's perspectives which may explain the treatment. The SAs in my local boutique where I am a regular client have told me that they find it very stressful when they receive so many bag requests on a daily basis, sometimes every hour. The store doesn't always know what and when they will receive bags and then when a highly coveted configuration arrives, it has to be decided which of the 12 SA will get to offer to his/her client. Then, the SA still needs to decide which client as there could be 5 or 6 clients all waiting for the same bag. Some clients wait over a year or year and half and get upset that they haven't received their bag and the problem is that their requested configuration did not come. As well, he told me that clients are getting more and more specific on their requests that increases the difficulty. Previously, they could just offer bags and clients were pleased with what they were offered. Now when clients didn't receive their bags, some were even passive aggressive towards him in the store when shopping. One SA even told me that he treats his clients who don't ask for the bag better than the ones who do. Once you have put in your special bag request, your SA is aware and doesn't need constant follow up and may also update you from time to time as well and or offer you other options so you won't need to wait so long. This is what I have been told and also my own experience as well. Hope this helps.

I actually called there the other day to try and introduce myself. I was nervous since when Charlotte closed, I was told I would be reached out to. And wasn't. Oh well, things slip through the cracks with a store closing. Anyway....I talked to a really nice gentleman...we just chatted and chatted and he was so super nice. I was very encouraged and will try to visit him soon. He talked H and my preferences and brand talk and it was so cool! I am definitely getting the same feeling from the Atlanta store as you.

Just thought I would share another experience in my local store and this time with my wonderful SA. Recently, my SA told that she felt bad that that she wasn't able to offer me something yet into this year and that she had been trying hard to find me something. She then asked if I would consider any other colours than the couple that I have selected. (Last month I also did receive an offer but it was the wrong size and leather.). She said that there are three types of customer: one that feels they have spent about enough and start pressing for a bag, one that counts every dollar they are spending in the store and is pressing for a bag and then others that are so nice and never ask , waiting patiently, and you really want to find them something but their specifications have not arrived yet. So, most SAs really want to help make your wishes come true. Just enjoy shopping at the beautiful boutique, trust your SA, and your dream bag will come.

I totally agree!! This is exactly what happened to me last month. My SA at my local boutique exceeded my dream bag expectation by offering me the exact dream combo with a horseshoe stamp!! So gotta be patient and just letting the SA know what you want and they will try their best to make it happen!

I know there are those who will disagree, but yes, I have found that being nice to your SA -- not fake, flattering nice -- is the best way to establish a real relationship, one in which your SA will do his or her best to take care of you.

I too received wonderful service at the Atlanta boutique. They are awesome and so down to earth! I can't brag enough about their service! I've been to a bunch of hermes boutiques and this one is the best imo!
