^ Hi and welcome to Hermes! I think those invitations are sent out to the store's database of customers or anyone who has purchased in the last 12 months or so.

I'm sure they would love for you to drop by and purchase from the new collection, but I don't think you need to read too much into the handwritten invitation and who it is signed by.

If you had a great experience with Bukky, I would stick to buying from her. If you are interested in checking out the new S/S collection, maybe you can call and ask if Bukky is available to show you?

Totally agree- I would stick with Bukky if I were you ;)

Here are my thoughts but I buy mainly online - occaisonly in store - so other people here may have better words of wisdom.

Even if you are known to be a client of a specific SA, I think it was rude for the person not to ask if they could assist you. It may have been unintentional - they may have just assumed you only wanted to deal with your SA. Also, I suspect that there is courtesy rule not to go after each other's clients. If your new work schedule poses a challenge in meeting with your current SA, I would suggest talking to him/her about it - maybe your current SA could recommend another "backup" SA to deal with when the two of can't meet because of your schedules.

That sounds like a good plan! I'll be seeing them this weekend most likely so I'll get a chance to discuss :smile1:

Can I get your advice ladies? When I stopped in at Madison today, Stephanie helped me with a belt and clic clac. And Bukky went through the leather book with me and took down my info and request.

So going forward should I be going through Bukky for all of my purchases or does she only handle bags?

Thanks!

perhaps the other stores I've been to have spoiled me. The treatment I've received at the men's store has been far from icy but its very "forced" if you will. They are smiling with their mouths but frowning with their eyes if that makes any sense. I am absolutely not the type that expects SA's to fawn all over me but when I've gone to the FSH store or the Ginza store I've experienced genuinely nice SA's that have gone above and beyond. At the FSH store I was offered a matte croc HAC 40, a flag HAC, and a togo HAC 40 in etoupe. WHen they showed me the etoupe and the flag and I was hesistant on both, so she looked in their system and said "well we do have a matte croc HAC in noir" and I told them that that was absolutely out of budget but they were like "well lets just have a look, I want to see it on you.If nothing else it will be fun to play dress up. I'm curious to see it as well" and they brought it out and they just seemed genuinely kind and courteous. Even when it came down to buying the flag HAC she was absolutely no pressure. SHe was like "i'll put it on hold for you, take a walk around the neighborhood, think about it. if you still cant get it off your mind later, come back and it'll be here waiting for you".

So while the service at the men's store has not been bad, I guess I've been spoiled! and the service at the hermes in Korea is HORRIBLE!!! ugh I shudder just thinking about it!
Yes, I can see the "forced" feeling at the men's store.

Very nice service at FSH!! Dress up is so much fun, though v. dangerous bc then you might start talking yourself into actually buying it. Matte croc noir HAC, gorgeous.
It's a disingenuous smile. If they're not smiling with their eyes, they're really not that pleased to see you.

Croc HAC sounds dreamy.

Ok, I am going to follow everyone's ideas, I inquired at my local store (King of Prussia PA) and was brushed off and told ohhh they are so backed up and it will be at least two years. I went back and bought an Evelyne bag and did not even ask this other SA about Birkins. But now I am going to return and hopefully someone will take down my info and my color preferences.
I'm always told this at the K of P store, even though I purchase there from time to time when I travel to PA to visit my family. I like the no sales tax on scarves.
It's funny, now that I have started using the Virginia store more often, and now that I have a SA there, when I expressed my desire to purchase a Birkin for my B-day 2 years from now, my SA responded, "What color, leather and style would you like?"

that's great. I don't know what is with KOP these days. Do not tell the SA that you shop in two stores (even though they can find out if they are interested enough to research your history). KOP is my weekend home store and WS is my regular home store. The SA that was assigned to me after my best SA left was not pleased I didn't buy everything from her. She specifically told me that SOs are reserved for regular customers (mind you, I bought my first B, other Bs, a kelly, shoulder birkin, SO kelly, evelyne and a number of other items there, plus SLGs, shawls, watch, jewelry, etc. She also told me to look in NYC for what I wanted. This really frosted me and one day I told another SA about it. I got apologies from SD (who is super nice but not always around, and offered me a PO and SO) and also from the SA, but I can't even look at the SA any more. It really soured me on the store.

WS has always come through for me, no matter what. I pretty much given them all my business now, as opposed to kind of splitting it up.

Interesting, I hope I have not already made a faux pas. I bought an Evelyne from one SA but went back to buy a Twilly and purchased from another. This SA was responsive to my Birkin request and took my color and size preferences. She made it clear that they did not like selling to people who were traveling and not regular customers and I made it clear I lived nearby and was looking to become a regular customer I just needed something to buy. I hope she was serious, bc I'm a serious buyer but we will see. KOP is so small and there's just not a ton I want to buy that is out on the floor.

I think I know the exact SA you're speaking of.
She did get on the phone to help me track down an Ebene Herbag I wanted. Unfortunately someone else was in the process of buying it when she called.
I'll still continue to purchase some scarves there. I enjoy picking up a little something at the K of P H store, then heading over to LV to shop there.

I have had the same experience in KOP. It is my closest store. I have purchased small items (scarves, a wallet and a belt) and have been asking for a B/K for at least 3 years. I have been fortunate to get bags at Madison and FSH. My SA now barely returns my calls, even when wanting a wedding gift or a scarf or belt. I really don't understand it, since I was under the impression that the small items were where they earned a commission. I can usually find the smaller items online, so I likely won't bother maintaining my relationship with her. I thought I was the only one disillusioned with KOP lately!

Stick with Bukky! I got a 35 Gold with GHW B from her as walk-in, first time deal with her:D

You guys, I totally been there, in all the posts I've read in this thread; I overcame my feelings (good and bad) by thinking, do I want to be friends with this SA? Not necessarily. Does he/she know me to treat me good or bad? No. Then, does it matter how we get along? Absolutely not. Why expect something that doesn't even matter.

I have had horrible treatment at Maddison for years until recently when I dropped by the shoe salon. I read another tPF suggesting going to different stores/SA if nothing turned out. From my personal experience, I know how hard it is to walk in knowing you are not going to get what you are looking for. I had two years that I cannot go near an H.

My point is keep your stakes low. If you can stop by, definitely do so. And something magical always happens. That is the beauty of H, and life.

They're not your "friends". It's in their business to part you with your money. That's why they set up cordial relations with you.
