COACH always has traffic that comes and goes. Especially at peak traffic times too. Not to mention that most loyal customers trust their "SA" enough to order things and have it shipped to them. The new stores are stunning and are just the face lift COACH needed. So don't be silly and negative Nancy's about the new look. It's propelling COACH forward and elevating it beyond those brands we won't mention. Don't be afraid to go in and make yourself at home.

It's usually just me and sometimes one or two other parties. When I ask them how the store is doing, they usually say they've been busy and are selling out of some styles. I assume they are telling the truth, otherwise they would not be able to justify staying open.

Maybe customers buy multiples and markup is high. Or maybe I miss the peak times. :shrugs:

I was the only one in the LV and Burberry stores the other day too.

That is a different expression "negative Nancys".

Studio Sofield was the one who did the remodel of the stores - this is what Vevers had to say about it

“William and I share a genuine desire to create something different — different for Coach and unique in luxury. He has created some of my favorite stores. As we continue on the path of transformation, I want our new store environment to organically trigger a significant change in the perception of our brand. A space that feels authentic to Coach, confident, modern and inviting, with honest construction and rich, warm materials.” said Stuart Vevers, Executive Creative Director, Coach, Inc.

I know I'm in the minority here...but I wish they would close a good number of outlet stores...in attempts to drive traffic to the FP stores...maybe holding more FP sales instead of having all of the outlets which devalues the brand.

wth? does that even mean lol

I agree but the outlest is where their breads and butter comes from

so true!

I don't think anyone is being silly or negative nancy's(lol) on the new layouts, rather they are providing their POV on how they interrupt it.

The boutique i frequent, i don't think has a new look.. maybe some refresher since it opened years ago but i don't see much beyond that.

The factory store moved to a larger location at the outlet mall.. it's HUGE but frankly to big and doesn't have enough stuff, things are just stretched out to appear like the shelves are filled. Then again i am outside the US so maybe the new 'organic' look has yet to appear.

Agree with this. I wasn't being negative about how the store looked -- I was just saying it was empty every time I went by. Also I see no changes in layout/look, so I don't know if that would have any impact anyway.

Quite the opposite in the Atlanta area where they have closed 3 FP stores while the 4 outlets within 90 minutes of my home continue to thrive. I guess it's hard to shut the outlets down when they make the money for the company, or at least they did the last time I looked at Coach's financial statements.
