Wondering how the croc Sophia will wear as the leather one I tried on bunched up really weird.

Also customer service told me that gloss poppy hippie is patent leather. So confusing everyone is getting a different answer! Lol

I took my Eva back to the store today and all the SAs were just fawning over her and taking turns trying her on, lol. It was fun, but bittersweet since I was saying bye-bye. I wish they had just placed the top handle attached to the bag itself instead of the flap. That would have solved everything.

Anyway I ordered my lovely dijon croc Abigail after trying on the toffee version in the store. It's a little bigger than I am used to, but I loved it nonetheless, and didn't think it was TOO big, like a sage.

I think after it gets here I will post a reveal, then I am taking a break from tPF. The enabling is just too much for me and I need to re-examine my relationship with Coach and shopping, and evaluate my "wants vs needs." I am pleased with my collection but I can't afford anything else, and unfortunately reading this board is not helpful in sticking with that, it seems. It also takes up a lot of time that could be spent doing more productive things :)

Sad friend! Say it isn't so : ( Did you go to Pacific Place?

Yes, they are so friendly there and I have a really great SA who always hooks me up with 25% off (at least she did during the entire run of the event, plus today), including phone orders, etc, since getting to the store is a bit of a hassle for me as I live a ferry boat ride away and usually have my toddler with me.

I think I will keep my ban until the holidays, and then just ask my husband for something, if there's anything I really want badly and especially if PCE is taking place.

So far I have been funding my purchases by selling older unused items from my collection but that's starting to dry up, therefore, no more for a while!

And I honestly believe that if I never visited tPF, I probably would never have known about and therefore never purchased most of my new items. I love getting all the early info and knowing all about the products ahead of time, but that, along with all the lovely reveals, just makes it difficult for me to say "no!" when I really should! I hope that makes sense.

We'll see how long I can stay away... I've been a part of this community for six years.

Well I can totally understand! It is very difficult to read about and see all the great stuff around here and not buy anything! All the enabling is hard to resist! My goal now that I've received my HG bag is to not buy anymore bags for a while, just accessories to go with my existing bags. I dont really have that many wristlets and card cases. I do think Im going to buy the pewter lindsey though. : ) yikes!

Oh, I think many people here feel the same way. :smile1:

:true: Amen, sister!

Glad you all understand. It's nothing to do with everyone here per se, it's more my little "issue" I think. It's always exciting to get new stuff, and also exciting to sell my older bags to make room. But I feel like that process is coming to a close for now, and I'm ready to just enjoy my new fall bags.

Maybe I will just take a couple weeks off and come back. I really love reading about everyone's reveals and being the first to know about what's coming out, too. It's just my hobby I guess :)

I know what you mean, jane! I've branched out to other subforums and brands....well, brand :graucho: and frankly, all the non-purse portions of life have taken a lot of my time and resources lately. OK, so has my other handbag brand of choice, Rebecca Minkoff....and even more of late, Missoni for Target......but this is about Coach :)

Adding to that, although Coach has released several bags that I like, some that I love, I haven't seen many that I NEEEEEED and dream about and would be willing to push another bag out of my collection to get and would fit my needs (compact enough for a public transit commute, spacious enough to fit my tablet PC and purse junk, convertible satchel style, with plenty of pockets). Sometimes I get notoriously picky and will reject a bag due to a minor quibble. I'm currently sizing up a (non-Coach) bag that might get booted due to some of its hardware being brass-plated instead of solid brass, and I'm worried that the brass coating might flake off someday. I got it for a good price but it's still more than I want to pay for anything that's not the way I want it to be, because I'm the one who has to carry it. I have so many bags now that a new bag has to earn its space on the bench. It takes more than love for a bag to be a keeper nowadays, personally speaking!

I consider this cooling-off to be part of the cycle. Reminds me of this old thread....the lifecycle describes me a bit too well :blushing: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/life-cycle-of-a-coachie-524788.html

Now, if Coach brings back 2006-2007 Legacy leather this winter, all bets are off ! And if they do bring it back, we'll probably hear about it first in this subforum :D

+1 on that. My store never actually has anything in stock. So if I was not on TPF I would never know half these bags existed because I certainly would not see them browsing in my local boutique. And I probably would pass on half these bags and definitely not do so many returns/exchanges if I saw them prior to ordering.

I find myself getting caught up in all the PCE/hot bag hoopla and I bought 2 bags I know would not be a good fit for me...Buffalo Caroline (too big) and black sequin mini sophia (rarely carry black bags). Both returned and exchanged for other bags that are a better fit but I really won't get much use out of...ocelot mini sophia, won't use often because it would have to be worn with solid colors and my shirts are mainly patterns and not in warm colors. The gathered bordeaux sophia...I wear a ton of this color but already own 2 bags in this color. "Everything goes to the outlet" and I seriously could have waited or passed on these altogether. But it is VERY difficult for me to resist the urge to buy a bag every other floorset.

Quite honestly I am fall bagged and sophia'd out. This fall was not as good as last fall IMO and there is nothing upcoming that I am super excited about like last year. Seems we have pretty much seen everything except the Poppy bags which are not my style.
