I can't comment on the rest at the moment, but I can assure you, there were reports. I even just went back in my email to confirm. Swanky is absolutely telling the truth, I promise. Gotta go give my son a bottle!
Okay, thanks.

Geez, while that surprises me, I guess I can understand why they were removed.

So, if they are reported and not harmful, they are removed? Or, is it that they are harmful to the discussion? I am just asking.
I like the Coach AT and their other threads. It does feel welcoming. I won't chance posting in Dooney, I guess.

Just want to say that it's tough to see Megs', Swanky's and the mods' motives and intentions questioned repeatedly when I know how hard everyone is working to make this place the best it can be - with no ill will towards anyone.

There are kinks being worked out, and the dialogue continues about how we can evolve the ATs so they accommodate better to Auths, new members and old. It's a process and it's frustratingly slow as we think things through and sort things out.

Fast action and decisions may seem appealing (to all of us), but they would be flawed without considering the alternatives and repercussions.

So please, may I ask that everyone have some faith in the process and Megs, Swanky and the mods. None are lying, ignoring or condemning anyone's input, recommendations or desires.

Generally, AT threads are all business. They are kept clean to keep anyone (including authenticators) from having to sort through unnecessary discussion to get the info. Obviously some discussing an item presented for authentication is to be expected, but veering off to talk about pricing and posting items that are known fakes to chat about are kept out of there and are expected to be posted in a more appropriate place.

And just to be clear, asking questions is great and welcomed, but it would be nice if it was done with kindness and and little faith.

I hope the Coach AT thread is kept as it is. I know a lot of members read it everyday. I enjoy the "extraneous" chat and I think it is helpful to most members. We discuss individual sellers, selling venues, whether or not an item can be fixed, etc. - all of which contributes to a member's decision to purchase - which I think is a good thing.

Amazing that mods come swooping in like heat seeking missiles to defend another mod. It would be nice if they did the same for long time authenticators when they are questioned or attacked, wouldn't it?

Sigh. This is exactly what I'm talking about. It's hostile and dismissive. Do you really see authenticator's needs being ignored when this thread's sole purpose is to learn how to better accommodate?

Yes, I am aware that every single desire is not yet met – nor will they ever be with so many different styles and preferences. But we are trying, and it's a process.

As far as swooping in, this particular thread is on my radar because I am both an authenticator and a mod. It is relevant to me in every way. So, I need to keep up with what's going on here, so I don't fall behind and can learn more about the needs and changes.

I speak for myself when I can't protect authenticators from every bit of rudeness that takes place in ATs or anywhere, since I am not watching every person every second of the day. I have other responsibilities as does everyone involved with tPF.

As has been said many times, that's why we rely on reports. We cannot please everyone all the time. I'm sorry it feels to you like the mods don't care. I'm not sure what more can be said to prove otherwise since every attempt at saying so or showing so is ignored for being imperfect.

What I was asking for is the same respect and support for the process and those working on it as the authenticators are asking for. We are all in this together and everyone has the best intentions for the forum and all of its contributing members.

PUHLEEZE...Whatever

This is helpful. Thanks. I totally get what you are saying. A lot of members enjoy chat and a lot of members don't, and all within the same subforum! So it can be hard to please everyone, but I think you bring up a very valid point and one that's good to talk about so we can better understand.

Apparently so, given the fact that several long-term and well liked authenticators have left.

Someone insinuated Swanky was lying about reports, I posted to back up her statement since I have the knowledge of those reports. BB and I are friends and I figured she'd trust my weighing in.

Can you please show me where an authenticator is being questioned or attacked and nothing has been done about it? For the love of god.. Are you an authenticator with an issue? Have you alerted us to what specifically that issue is, other than snide remarks and vague accusations?
