I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for your suggestions and advice. You all have been amazingly helpful and helped me frame up what my goals/needs are fromthis bag. I’ve narrowed it down to a few options I want to check out in person before making the final call. But again, you all have been so wonderful. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. :flowers::flowers::flowers:

(And if anyone is interested I’ll share the end result). Much love to you alll!!!

Would love up know what you end up choosing!

YEAH!!!! Making final choices are so difficult. I hope you have the Hepburn in your final candidates. While not available in stores, they have a great return policy so they are definitely worth a try!! Please let us know which bag you finally choose and what helped you make your choice!

My workhorse totes are either canvas or Le Pliage. I do use all of my totes for everything, including the leather ones, but if you're looking for something that will forgive all your deeds and do it while looking really chic, I can't sing LP's praise high enough. I have - well, if I haven't forgotten any - 2 Cuir and 7 nylon ones. My latest acquisition in the nylon category is a custom made travel bag with long handles and it's already seen alot of action. It's about the size of LV NF GM but prettier, more personal as I chose the colors and had my name embroidered on it and I can get almost 10 of them with the price of one LV. It's a no brainer for me.

If you want leather, then Coach men's line might be a good place to explore; the Metropolitan looks like a very handy style and the grained leather will endure just about anything.

Can you tell me the size of the customized LP you ordered?

Hello all. Wanted to let you all know what I had decided to purchase, and what fate had in store for me.

So, initially I had decided get the large Longchamp Le Pliage Neo in navy. It looks like such a chic, wonderful bag!!!! And I felt this was the best option as I needed something that could take a beating and still look good. I was shopping around looking for any deals to be had, and even had one added to my cart, but hadn’t pulled the trigger. Then, while cleaning/organizing my closet I came across a canvas ThirtyOne tote I had purchased years ago and had totally forgotten about. The thing was huge!!! Way bigger than any of the other bags I had been considering. And as I had the opportunity (all day basketball tournament) I took it out for a test drive. It held EVERYTHING I needed and then some. And because of the price point I don’t worry about it getting used and abused. :happydance:

Soooooooo, now that I have that “workhorse tote” need taken care of, I can rethink my requirements for a second smaller tote.

I am going to be reviewing all of your wonderful recommendations again as I make a determination on which tote I want. Thanks again to all of you for your wonderful insights and advice. Much love to you all. :hbeat::hugs:

I know you already made your decision, but two suggestions for anyone else reading this thread - I really like my Botkier Soho tote and it has held up really well. I also love my old Longchamp metallic LM bag (see picture) - it is sturdier than a typical Le Pliage nylon bag and doesn’t show stains or wear and tear as much. Is a little more structured too. I accidentally spilled an entire BBQ pulled pork sandwich inside of the bag and the outside still looked perfect afterwards (the inside was another story). The bag is 5 years old and I still use it when I need to bring a lot of stuff with me, especially for the kids.
