If by original you mean the smooth leather version, then no, that is no longer in production. The current one is a grained calf, which is currently the "IT" bag, as the price is much more affordable than the original.

Hi,

apologies if this has already been asked but I've just recently fallen in love with the Tom Ford flap zipper bag, [the one that the lovely jennifer carries]. But I was wondering if anyone has any pics of anyone carrying the Medium and the Large so that I can compare sizes.

I am in the UK so going to see one in person would be difficult so would really appreciate pics for comparison. Thank you.

I was tempted by Tom Ford med charlotte tote today in chalk. Holts sale price is 1929 from 2750. While searching online, I came across all the med alligator charlottes! Desert rose and the green - OMG!

I had to re-size before uploading...I haven't seen the alligator bags but just wanted to post for swooning purposes. Usually, I don't go for croc or ostrich or patent at all but I'm changing!? I do admire python, lizard and ring lizard though...zebra hair calf...now I'm adding croc it seems







I wish I could get the med chalk but it's still very steep and I've been binging since March/April this year.

I have to agree with the above post, green croc is stunning!!! As for the charlotte, I LOVE Tom Ford's 'white' i.e. chalk. It's the perfect white. Not to stark bright, which to me, always makes leather look cheap, and not off-white or ivory. Just the perfect white to carry year round. I did see a chalk Charlotte on ebay not too long ago but don't recall the price. Maybe you can find one, pre-owned?

So far, online, the dept stores have not marked down the chalk Charlotte so Holts isn't doing too badly here. I agree with you that the shade of white/bone/chalk is absolutely lovely. The zippers are a bit honkin' big - even bigger than my Chloe Marcie breakaway zippers! I still like every detail of the Charlotte - I can handle the zippers

I checked in both designer forums and didn't find a thread devoted to Tom Ford. I'm becoming obsessed with this brown, slouchy shoulder bag at Neiman Marcus:
