Toe Cleavage - How much is too much?

This is funny, because I was talking to my boyfriend about this. I think a lot of shoes now show WAY too much toe because of their nature - platforms, long toe boxes, etc. A little bit of cleavage is natural, but if you're showing more than half of the first "knuckle" of your toe, you might as well just be wearing flip flops.

And don't even get me started on seeing an entire pinky toe. It's like.. would you wear a shoe that PURPOSELY exposed one toe? Then why would you wear a show that unintentionally does it? :confused1:

I'm OK with a little- like, the cracks of all the toes can be showing, but I don't want to have it show much farther up my toes, if that makes sense. It bothers me most if the big toe is exposed, less if the littler toes are exposed. Anything that looks like a toe's about to fall out is a no-go for me.

I didn't even realize people considered toe cleavage attractive, hah... I just thought it always sucked for people like me (with long toes) in not being ABLE to avoid just that!!

Almost all of my shoes have about this much....

But showing everything but your toenail is kind of gross. And how do those even stay on??

I really don't understand why toe cleavage can be considered sexy. I don't mean that in a mean way, I just don't understand it! I've seriously never even paid attention to toe cleavage, Maybe it's because I have normal to small toes? Anyone care to give me their take on why it's considered sexy to some people?
