Yes, favoritethingshawaii, I'm likin that orange. I've never been an orange person. I had my mind made up that I was going to do my best to buy a Tods bag on my trip to the Las Vegas area. I wanted a brown color and I was looking at this bag in camel but it was a bit too close to my Kooba blonde Meredith in color. Then I spotted the orange. The SAs said one of them had an orange bag, they all liked it better than the camel and assured me it wasn't a screaming orange and could be neutral. Lately I'm gravitating toward orange more than I did in my earlier life...I think it's partly because my hair is auburn now. Anyway thanks for the kind remarks.:smile1:

If my Miky was dark brown or black I would feel no need at all to spray it. Mine is orange and with the pebbled leather, I'm not too worried about rain or even general soiling. But just in case something like food hits the bag, should I protect with some repellant? Thanks.

am now eyeing another tod's pashmy but this time in nylon. hoping to get it in pewter, old rose or purple.

I don't think i can use this bag for traveling. Too precious.

With that dark blue color, I don't see a problem. But you did pay a lot for it and the nylon would be nice and light for travel. Always good to have something to shop for. Enjoy.

I condition all my bags with Apple Care and spray them with the Stain and Rain Repellant before I use them. The way I see it is, better safe than sorry. And since none of these products have ever changed the nature or color of the leather, there's no risk.

eLuxury has the silver TODS nylon messenger on sale, it's like 425.00 I think and if there is a coupon floating around, you can probably get something off that.
The messenger is my travel and raining day bag.

thanks everyone!!!

at the store i only liked it because of the convertible feature & the pockets. And sort of a consolation for a Balenciaga bag I've been waiting for months for but did not come.

But when i took it home boy did I realize I scored big time! I've never had a bag with that leather and that rich a color.

It's my first leather bag for a looong time.

The Nylon Pashmy I wanted is the Luna Hobo. I felt the Messenger is to thin even if it said 4" deep. It looke flat on the picture. I'd like a bag with some depth to it.

It made my appetite for a Balenciaga wane.

And it truly is, literally, a God-send.

edit: ahhh.... found the word: convertible! sorry, had headache from very strong coffee...

that's so tremendously cute....

anyway, i am a bit puzzled bout something. i just got a black corniche. the design is of course, extremely simple. however, i cant stop staring at it. am i still coffee-high or there's some perfect explanation for it?
