Mine will be flush. I don't know-it just looks more natural to me to have them touch. Large gaps just look like you threw two different rings together, you know? Not that it doesn't work for some; it's just not for me.

I totally prefer flush. My engagement ring has a cushion that is more rectangular and originally i thought I wouldn't be able to get anything to sit flush, but I found one that fits nearly flush and looks soo great with it. All the ones with more pronounced gaps I really disliked. If that was the case and I couldn't find anything that was close enough, I would have had my ring reset, which I would have felt bad about not even having it for a year.

I don't have pictures of what we are getting, they're being made at the jewelers, but when I get them in my hands, I will post a picture. His is just a plain yellow gold and platinum band, he liked the 2 colors, and mine is platinum with alternating diamond shapes. It sounds super busy but it works so well with my ring.

I always thought engagement rings and wedding bands were suppose to sit flush together, but I've realized not all do. I'm trying to decide if I want mine to or not. What do you ladies have, or what do you like and why?? :confused1:

Mine don't sit perfectly flush. My e-ring band is shaped more like the letter V around my finger. You should try on a bunch of rings in the store to see what looks the best. It really depends on your ring. I had to find a thicker wedding band in order for it to look right with the e-ring. I think it looks great.

Mine don't quite sit flush. I don't mind the gap- I'm not a fan of the rings that curve around. I wanted to be able to wear them separately if I wanted to. My ering is set low, so I had no choice but to have a small gap. Both rings were made by the same jeweler, so the bands match exactly, as if they were a set.

I like both ways, but I prefer the non-matchy-matchy sets (which tend to have a gap more often). I really dislike the completely matched look, for myself.

But then, I've never been a matchy person in general! I wouldn't ever try to match my shoes to my purse to my belt, etc.... I prefer to coordinate, rather than match.

DF hates all jewelery. and he has told me time and time before he only wanted a plain band. (sucks, i want him to have diamonds and to match my band!) i have given him a beautiful diamond band as a gift before, but he lost it within 3 months! so we replaced it with a plain band. i have no clue what we are gonna do with our wedding bands. do urs and DH's match can i see his? and yours next to each other pretty please?? :flowers:

Dh is exactly like that, he just got a plain band, too plain IMO but that's what he wanted. There is a little gap between my rings too, I do wish it sit flush but I still love it
