I use the hottest water from the tap my hands can tolerate. You have to be able to put your hands in it to rinse and not burn yourself if that makes sense. I usually let them soak while I shower. I have some small Pyrex bowls that I guess are like a cup or so measurement? I use them for jello and pudding usually. I use those when i clean. One for my ering and one for my band. I usually soak my band longer bec it's prone to gunk with the channel setting. I soak maybe once every week or two unless I dunk it in food while eating. I have a steamer that I use sometimes and most days I use a spray of the Sparkle Sparkle or just wash my hands with the dish soap and rinse and dry em and put them away. I don't wear them that much at least lately so they don't get funky.

Dish soap and water really is the most simple solution.

This stuff smells GREAT!!!! Much better than the connoisseurs which was disgusting!!!!

Yea that's why I bought it the first time. Lol I get the orange one which I think is clementine? It smells good. It does as good a job as dawn or Palmolive or whatever else too. I may still have some Palmolive too in case I forget to buy a refill of this stuff.

You are the best! I can't stop staring at my rings today under my office lights!!! Amazing!!! I think it also hid my little everyday surface scratches that bother me!

Mine is blue and is called sea minerals! Smells very fresh and clean! I will be wanting to try them all now! LOL

Give the dish soap some time. I like the Sparkle Sparkle cleaner, but its not a need if the dish soap and water works for you. I suspect that the stuff you were using, since you were not using it entirely correctly was leaving a film on your rings that a simple soak in another cleaning solution as simple as dishsoap and water removed.

I've used the steamer on my coffee machine before... Also, most jewelry stores have a red tube with a brush on the end, it's a diamond cleaner and it does a fantastic job.

I'd be careful when using dish soap, etc. because of the harsh chemicals which may damage the metal. It should be okay if they're organic, however.

Good luck :)

Umm what? Where on earth are you pulling this information??? Dish soap, be it "organic" or regular, is not a "harsh chemical" that is going to damage the metal or the stones.

I was thinking the same thing actually. I mean my rings appeared clean and shiny but not as shiny as they are now. Especially the metal. I wish I had known about the dish soap last month when DH gave me my new rings. Maybe I could have avoided these little surface scratches I see on the metal when I loupe them. Makes me sad to see that. I know I can get them re rhodiumed but I want to wait a while. Just bummed over that!

Those would happen regardless bec they come with wear. That isn't related to cleaning.

My way of thinking was that because I was cleaning the rings with a product that contained ammonia, it caused the teeny little scratches when I dried them with a tissue. I know I most likely banged them a few times because its a ring and we have to use our hands but this was my way of thinking. I was so upset last night because they are only a month old and already have these little scratches. I know I'm being anal and should just enjoy them but its hard!! DH said taking my wool coat on and off could have caused the surface scratches. Everything has surface scratches. But my way of thinking is I caused them because of my cleaning method.

The product is not what did it. Wearing it and the rubbing perhaps with that polishing cloth maybe but mostly wearing it. It's gonna happen. It could've happened the first time you wore them.
