Can you recommend the sellers you trust most? I did buy a bag from one and for the price it was in great condition. I will be in the market for a vintage Chanel so any help would be great. Thanks

Would suggest you do your due diligence especially when buying a
vintage Chanel & there was a thread started awhile back:

"Does this qualify as a snad?"

It pertains to the length of the chain strap & the seller's policies, etc

You can look at the seller's profile as well..

I like elady and brandoff. As with any seller, pay close attention to details in the listing and pictures. With these sellers, an "A" rating usually guarantees a really excellent bag, but look for details in the description like peeling, stickiness or smell.

I've purchased from both brand-works and brand_jfa and been very satisfied. In both cases, the bag I purchased was in better condition that advertised and deemed authentic by A4U.

Most Japanese sellers sell authentic items but there can be condition issues. My most common problem has been with odors so if there's any doubt you should ask about that before purchase.

I bought several times from japanese sellers, jfa, and a few others I can't remember the names on. I'm satisfied over all, expect a lv thompson street bag which had damage on the vernis leather which the photos didn't show due to the flash : \

I am in the US, and have seen some great bags on eBay that are being sold out of Japan. I am reluctant to purchase these because I don't know how much the extra fees will be.

Does anyone have any experience with buying items overseas?

How does the whole additional costs like duties and fees work?

I have bought overseas with no extra fees. It is kind of hit or miss as to whether you will get extra fees. Is the bag a good enough price that you can add another 10-15 percent on top of it? You never really know if you're gonna get fees until you get them in my experience

I've bought several keychains from Japan. The most I've spent at one time was about $200. I didn't have to pay any fees. The last package I got 5 days after I paid, faster than some US sellers.
