Yes - no problems. Depends on the seller of course, and I assume you've had it authenticated?

Mail from here is fabulous - it's when it gets overseas that it slows down ;)

Not sure were you are, but l would not hesitate from Japan, one of my best LV buys was from there......brilliant...l would go as far to say, l look to see if Japan more than any where else...Good Luck.....of course get it checked 1st lol x

I've been shopping for a Balenciaga bag and see some of the lowest priced ones are in Japan. Since there are so many fakes, I feel like if there is a problem, it might be a lot harder to get a return from so far away (I am in US). Has anyone had any experience?

I'd first authenticate the bag before you get involved with a transaction. You can
post in the Balenciaga AT...

You also have to think about the duty, etc. which will add to the cost of the bag
& the seller in all likelihood will "declare the full value of the bag on the customs form"

What is the seller's return policy? Are the pics clear so you can see all the details
of the bag, including corner wear, (if any) hardware, etc

What kind of feedback does the seller have? Have you checked
him/her out on toolhaus.org?

Excellent advice..

Let me add to check the listing carefully! TWICE! Depending on the seller, some of them use photos indicative of the bag and NOT the actual bag you will receive! That info is normally buried in a block of text.

If you do purchase from them and have to return at your cost it's VERY expensive. But I do agree, I've seen some great deals through them.. I've chosen to buy from smaller sellers on Ebay, Bonanza &/or Tradesy, if you watch auctions, you can get a good deal.

Good advice. Thanks for the input.

There are some excellent sellers in Japan. I have purchased most of my LV, Chanel and Cartier from EBay sellers in Japan. Look at their feedback, their other items for sale, etc... Japan has very strong anti-counterfeiting laws.

I've purchased some handbags from Japanese sellers. Many of them usually include a lot of close-ups in their listings. That makes easier to pre-authenticate before purchase. Most of Issues I've read here were condition of items rather than authenticity. Their price maybe lower than sellers in US but you have to pay attention to the condition/age which usually reflect on the price. When I plan to purchase items from overseas, I have to be sure that I wouldn't be returning them. Since returning would cost a lot and take more time to receive a refund. I've seen many Japanese sellers grade the condition with A,B,C letters. So you can browse other listings and be familiar with their grading standard. And always check their feedback. Good luck!

I bought an LV from the Japanese seller Elady. There were a lot of pictures in the listing, and I got it authenticated here prior to purchase. I am extremely happy with the bag. Some Japenese sellers are more highly regarded, so you might want ask about the specific seller you're considering buying from.
