Time To Reset My Ering!

I didn't see any 6 prong options with a bridge in their selection. I looked twice to make sure. That 2nd one looks just like the Cartier 1895.

The only modification they would do to mine was the band width. The shank is 2.2 on mine. They put my sizing beads in as well.
I've never heard of sizing beads, what a clever idea!

How does this compare with having the circumference of the shank reduced? I've recently lost a fair bit of weight and some of my antique opal rings are too big now but I'm very wary of having anything done to them.

If this has already been discussed in a separate thread, I apologise, would someone kindly link me to it.

Well sizing beads can help but only so much. If your ring size is a significant change downward, you will want them resized. If it's only about a half size down, sizing beads can help. A full size, you will want resizing done. If they are eternity bands though, or there are stones set into the band in a specific manner, resizing may not be able to be done, and beads might be your only optio besides a remake to size.

In my case, my knuckle is a significant size difference from my finger. So my rings HAVE to be larger than my finger actually is or they will not go on. The beads fill up some of the space after they get over the knuckle to help keep them from flipping, spinning, flopping so much.

I'd leave it. It's kind of a cool history.
I like it, and honestly I couldn't be bothered to remove it lol.
Holy moly!! It's breathtaking on your finger! Many congrats on such an awesome find!!!
Thank you so much!
it fits perfectly and the way you found it is so meant to be. Couldn't be coincident that you found it just in time. Congrats and enjoy wearing it in the years to come.
Thank you Cung!
Beautiful! I was curious how the "window shopping" went! Super happy & excited for you!!
Thanks!!! I had a quick minute of regret that I didn't take some time to decide, but now I'm so glad that I went ahead with it. It's a relief to have it handled and done, and to be in love my ring again!

etk123, your ring is GORGEOUS! This thread is making me second guess my decision to go all "blingalicious" with my setting... The Vatche U-113 was my second choice. Hmmm...

[Originally, I posted this to the WRONG THREAD! You can tell it's Friday, and I need the weekend! LOL :o]

Thank you! this sounds like just what I need - the difference between my knuckle and my finger is more pronounced since losing weight, and it really annoys me when the stone flops to one side, it looks silly and unbalanced.
