So ladies, I have an update! We went window shopping on Friday to see the Vatche settings and if there was anything else out there that I was missing.

I found a needle in a haystack, an estate T&Co empty solitaire setting. It was just sitting there in the Vatche display. The saleslady said a few months ago a woman came in and sold them her solitaire. They ended up selling just the diamond and put the setting in the case. And it was my size lol.

We figured it made no sense to buy a Tiffany replica when we could buy the actual Tiffany setting. So we bought it! I really didn't want to make an impulse purchase, I hope I made the right decision! Here's some pics!

It actually works perfectly, and gives you the higher stone you want!!! FANTASTIC.

I feel like I found a unicorn lol! It's still lower than I'm used to, but it's high enough. It makes my stone look chubbier hehe. I'm glad you approve Ame!

Your ring is so gorgeous! I'm so happy for you to get an original Tiffany classic setting, and most of all, allows your diamond to be set higher than what Tiffany would had done. That's fantastic! Are you going to change the engraving or leave it as is?

Thank you! I hadn't thought about removing the engraving. I think it's kinda cool that it's the history of the ring. My stone isn't inscribed. Hmmm, something to think about.

Holy moly!! It's breathtaking on your finger! Many congrats on such an awesome find!!!

The original stone was 3.3, I know because it's inscribed on the ring! Mine is 2.3, so that's a whole carat difference. The jeweler was confidant that it would work, so we went for it. The prongs are the original ones, I think they pinched them in a tad to fit my stone. I'm sure theres been adjustments for the difference in size but I can't tell.

It seemed very 'meant to be'. The SA said there was a lot of interest in the setting but I was the first person with a stone they thought would fit. I still can't believe it!

it fits perfectly and the way you found it is so meant to be. Couldn't be coincident that you found it just in time. Congrats and enjoy wearing it in the years to come.
