I am Chanel-obsessed (I buy Chanel handbags exclusively). However, I would not purchase the J12 if you are looking for a classic. Its a gorgeous watch, but I wouldn't necessarily consider it a classic look. The triple strand is absolutely stunning, but again, definitely not a classic (even more so than the J12, so if you're going to go with a Chanel watch, go with the J12). The Rolex is beautiful, but you already have on. Therefore, my vote goes for the Cartier, which is definitely a classic. With that said, I'm not a huge fan of the pink, but if it fits your style, then go for it! It would look lovely paired with the Love bracelet. Best of luck with your choice. You really can't go "wrong" with any of them:)

I have the Cartier tank that I absolutely love. I have worn it for over 10 years This week with some help from a wonderful TPfer I purchased a Cartier balloon bleu. I am loving it. I dont think you can go wrong with Cartier.

I own a Rolex midsized Datejust gold and steel, and a Cartier Ballon Bleu, and I love Chanel bags....But.

I would say that Cartier even thou I love it is not a watch brand. It's a jewelry brand and its mechanism can't even compare to the "real watches" like Rolex, Patek Phillipe, Vasheron Constantin, and etc.
Therefore, the reselling price would be lower, much lower comparing to Rolex. Not a good investment.

From this point of view Chanel J12 is just a joke in the "real watches" world. And the style is definitely not classic, would not stay there for years and years like Rolex does. It is very cute and very fashion forward but IMO won't become the classic icon like the 2.55 bag.

Therefore, I'd go with the Rolex. Actually I am going with another one hopefully soon ;)

Thanks ladies, I bought the Pink Cartier Tank Solo! I couldn't decide on a love bracelet as I couldn't get pass the idea of not being able to put it on/off myself. I am thinking if I should get the cuff instead. Thought I always wanted White Gold, but the Yellow Gold is pretty classic too. Decision Decision. Since I didn't spend too much $$, I am still hunting for the Rolex President in the time being. I am thinking if I can get a pre-owned one, I can then get both the Rolex and the Cartier Combo. Anyone has any suggestion or knows a legit watch dealer, please let me know. Thanks!

It's a lovely watch - so I have to ask for modeling pictures! :graucho:

The cuff is really nice and a better alternative if you want to be able to take it off anytime.

Yellow gold is very classic!

I have had a white Patek 24 for a few years now. I think the nice thing about them is they are different. Don't see nearly as many Pateks as rolex so if you want to be different, Patek is a good choice. Compared to my rolex though, the patek does scratch more easily. It's getting a bit beat up by the laptop. Pateks hold their resale value better than cartiers, but I don't really think most of us buy our pieces with the plan to sell them later! But the potential resell value did appeal to the husband, who has a cartier roadster himself.
