The bags that have held up best for me are my Fendi Selleria Anna hobo and my Gucci soft Jackie flap bag. My Anna bag is the perfect red bag and holds a ton, so I reach for her constantly on weekends and casual evenings. I really can't rave enough about the color. It's a cool, non-showy but true red and goes with almost everything I own. If I'm feeling down or drab, I reach for her and she lifts me up instantly :). My Gucci soft Jackie is beautiful and elegant and sits perfectly against my body when carried crossbody. The black leather is thick and pebbled and the minimal hardware is a gorgeous silver.

I love Fendi's selleria leather and the Anna is a great bag!

My bottega mini roma and Balenciaga neo city have emerged as the most used luxury bags because they are so versatile, low key and wear quite nicely (they don't even show that much signs of wear!). Whereas, I have been honestly finding it difficult to bring out the Chanel CF and Lady Dior esp in this current economic climate.

The best luxury bags for me —> My preloved Balenciaga 2002 chocolate flat brass first bag and 2003 emerald balenciaga first bag - they are my favorite everyday go-to bags because they both can be carried crossbody (perfect for my short height), and their leather is fantastic (my favorite type). Since I don’t carry much , their size is also perfect (and the bags aren’t bulky which I like). In addition they are lightweight (I hate heavy bags)

Bags that I thought I would love but ended up selling were a bunch of brand new LVs .. …like the Alma (strange shape..don’t know how to fit things inside, and also bulky and sticks out far from my body which annoys me) and LV empreinte bags (nice leather but too heavy… I dislike heavy bags) …the LV canvas bags even though they were lightweight I felt bored with them quickly (I need nice leather). Louis Vuitton bags look nice but just none of the bags worked out for me and I ended up selling them all…

By far, my LV Trevi PM has proven its value over and over. I bought it 14 years ago and it still looks terrific and remains one of my top go-to bags. My LV V Tote MM is also a favorite, along with a Prada vitello daino tote that has been an excellent work bag.

Re small bags, my Gucci Blondie (aka Disco) gets used far more than I expected.

I still appreciate my “glamour” bags — a crocodile Gucci Boston Wave from one of Tom Ford’s last collections, LV Alma PM Malletage, and my new Bulgari Roma (larger size) — but they are not everyday workhorses.

Boss Taylor tote (really a satchel) is one of the best bags I've spent my money on. It's followed me to work and work trips (with 2 laptops shoved in the side compartments) for over a year and there's literally no wear. It's also under the radar and
I use it more rarely these days but nevertheless, with the full price having been over 700 euros and the quality being better than old Mulberry, it's actually a steal.

I have two that are far and away the most used - my Chanel WOC (probably used about 500 times) and my Goyard Artois MM (probably about 400 times).

I've used the WOC for airport days, as a wallet in a larger tote for long trips, for date nights, for sporting events, for errands. It has held up amazingly well (black caviar SHW) but I have been meaning to get another in a different color so I'm not wearing this one down so much.

The strap length and the zipper option on the Artois make it the most usable tote for me. I had the leather replaced on it after about 350 wears because I was pretty hard on it, but it looks almost new now.

My Pochette Metis Empreinte in black. It's under the radar, can hold a house, and so I use it on a daily basis.
You can't destroy this bag: I can throw it around without consequences and every time one of my cats sees this bag, boy tries to use it for scratching! But: There is not one scratch to see on my bag.
Valiant! Cool! Useful! Pretty!
:D

My favorite bags so far in terms of style and functionality are: Akris Ai, I have two, one with longer handles, basically a shoulder tote bag, the other with shorter handles and a crossbody strap, I love that I can switch the look of the bag by locking it in the middle or keep it open as a wide tote bag. Celine micro Belt bag is all time favorite, the bag I love to travel with, somehow the zip and flap closure never bother me, it’s pretty secure, especially when using public transportation. Another absolute favorite is Valextra Iside mini, fits a ton, but looks small and cute and very elegant.

The bag I have a love/hate relationship and haven’t used much at all since I’ve got it is Celine Cabas Phantom in small… it’s too big and the handles too long to sit comfortably on my shoulder 😅 Also I realized since I started to WFH I don’t use large bags when going out. I don’t need to bring my laptop, and if I do I prefer to carry a backpack. I know Cabas Phantom gets so much love on YT, but somehow it doesn’t work for me, still cannot part ways with it, since it’s a gift from my DH 🙂

Loewe mini puzzle pebbled leather
Dior men’s ergonomic saddle, seatbelt strap, in a leather that feels like plastic; Epsom; saffiano

Both can be loaded; squashed, flattened; snowed on, rained on; abused; and look like new.
In conditions that wilt my nylon bags.

Runner up is my feutre tPM. I never realized that felt is actually more hardy than leather.

What is a feutre tPM?
