My coworker has a DBTY and I noticed that the Cartier chain is more noticeable and sparkly hehe. I think she has the .05 or .08 and I haven't seen it sparkle :/ so that among other things put me off Tiffany, so I totally thought its worth it to get the large. I was gonna get the small but its out of stock here :p

So... I spend my day yesterday looking at jewellry . I went to Cartier and looked at their DLDC and then went to T Co to look at my RG .17 DBTY necklace again. ( I put a deposit on it, as its my birthday present ) . BUT I have changed my mind !!! I much prefer the RG tone of the Cartier, it's even more subtle then Tiffany and just the perfect color . Not too coppery, not too yellow, just perfect ! The chain at TCo looked very coppery on me, whereas the cartier sparkles and catches the light, so doesn't look dark ?
Carriers bezel is exquisite, but the RG bezel at T Co is beautiful and heavy too, however it has "Mickey Mouse ears" which some may not like. I don't like the cheap jumpring closure of T Co, Cartiers lobster is a lot more substantial and the little tag hanging off makes it feel special.
I have ordered the necklace with a pink sapphire and the matching bracelet :)))))))
Couldn't afford the bigger version right now and I NEED that bracelet , so went with the Saphire. It looks really special and since lots of people have the single diamond, another reason to do something different .
Now to wait the 4-6 weeks till they arrive ...

Unfortunately, I believe I've done my splurging for the month... I just purchased an estate Tiffany & Co. 18k yellow gold Elsa Peretti Medium Open Heart charm to wear on a chain I already own... and an estate Cartier Trinity ring that is my size, so I convinced myself that it was "meant to be"... :D

Haha, you better not read my review of the Love Bracelet then ! :)

I am banned from all spending now for awhile , lol. I had a trinity ring, loved it to pieces !!! Unfortunately, my first DH was a dick and I lost all my jewellry in the proceedings...
So many beautiful things ... Gone, and not to be replaced ( I was working for a high end jewellery house here in Sydney )
Now, I am remarried with 2 under 2, so not much $ to spend on bling !

CONGRATS! I think saving up for a DLDC is worth it though! Have you posted any pictures of the trinity ring? The small version is next on my wish list :D

Blueboxes- I totally TOTALLY get what you mean about the "mickey mouse ears" it put me off especially since the bigger the diamond the bigger the bezel the bigger the ears!

Thank you! I haven't received the Trinity ring yet... but I will post pictures as soon as I have it in-hand! :smile1: I'm very excited, as it's my first Cartier piece!

Hi, just wondering what did you get when you purchased the dldc necklace? Did you get a certificate showing the diamond detail etc? I am thinking of purchasing this necklace in large size. Thanks.

I dont have the necklace but the bracelet. It does come with a cerf. Nth about the diamond is on it. Only a serial # and date of purchase:smile1:
