I would definitely recommend going in the store to try it on... I always think once you have tried it on, you will know if it's the right one or not...try to step away from the bright tiffany lights too--like near the window or something, cuz those lights make the diamonds look super sparkly, but they might not in normal lighting...

great advice chica, i got your msg btw ;), thanks, it really made me :D

i have seen this IRL, it is tiny tiny, not what I expected from the picture that makes it look so beautiful. It was much too tiny to warrant me spending $1000 IMO. I am going to wait until I have bigger funds to buy bigger diamonds!
The sterling silver one is $250 so not too bad for a Tiffany diamond necklace.

I agree that the 0.05ct is super tiny, I think it's worth spending the few hundred more to get one around 0.15ct (I think these are about $900 or less or 18k gold??).

thanks everyone! I think im going to go with the gold version in a .08 tcw, I know this is small but I wanted something that was dainty and could be worn 24/7 and layered with other pieces aswell without competing with it. I was at tiffany's yesterday but the SA wasn't very helpful and didnt show me any of the sizes I wanted, only 0.25 and up but I called today and a SA named Lindsay has been very helpful:tup: This is a grad present to myself and I can't wait to get it! I'm going to go pick it up later today from the yorkdale location.

so I just got home from picking uo my new dbty I ended up with the .08 18k yellow gold and its perfect, so sparkly but also not noticable from far away so I can wear it with lots of things. It was so weird yesterday I went into the yorkdale store and the SA said they didnt have anything in 18k less then .20 dbty...today I called back and a more more helpful SA called me back with so many options to choose from!! I guess the SA from yesterday couldnt be bothered to make a 600.00 sale:shrugs: but besides that, for any canadians on tpf the new yorkdale store is gorgeous and the sales associates are very friendly not at all stuffy...except my one encounter lol. I will post pics in a bit...once I can find my camera
btw luvdnotspoiled did you end up getting your dbty?

I love layering simple, modern jewelry together. What I do to keep the "look" I want is I dip my jewelry in cleaner fairly often since I feel like smaller diamonds are affected by dust worse than larger diamonds that can capture more light.

Candice, congratulations on your graduation! I recently graduated also, but got myself a MJ bag instead of a diamond

I'm still interested in this necklace, so could you please post a modeling picture or two? I'd like to see it by itself, but also layered with other necklaces (if you wear it that way - if not, don't worry about it).

Hi Nekostar! okay I took some pics with my blackberry, they're not great but at least it's something. my camera is at the cottage so this was my only option!
I took one of just the necklace, but it kept shooting a bit too much shine so you don't get a full look of the diamond which is only 0.08 but super sparkly. the second is a layering shot with my large oval key pendant, one of a few necklaces I layer it with.:smile1: hope this helps you make a decision!
