So after thinking about it for a long time and trying the 2 necklaces again, I finally pulled the trigger.

Yes, the platinum won!

I was seriously 50-50 between platinum and rose gold, and I still do love the rose gold, but after trying again in stores, there was just something extremely timeless and classy about the victoria design in platinum. And it looked bigger than the rose gold counterpart so that's always a win.

I also realised that my hands were yellower compared to my neck, and platinum didn't look as good on my wrist vs on my neck unless it's a tennis bracelet (a girl can dream...).

Anyway, just wanted to thank you all for your helpful thoughts and advice in making this purchase!

Great choice, can you please post a modelling shot?

Congratulations! The pendant is really pretty. I also had a victoria large pendant in platinum, then later I added a rose gold version when it was freshly released. I gave the platinum one to my sister as a gift. I noticed a slight difference in diamond shape: the stones in rose gold version are more flat, while diamonds in platinum were more curved (I am not sure if my English is correctly describing what I mean...). I like both so it took me quite a long time to decide a final winner. I selected rose gold edition as I already have several other pendants in platinum. Personally I would prefer yellow gold the most if available in large size.

Thank you everyone!

Thank you! Sure, here's some modelling shots! I'm asian (Chinese) and considered petite even for my race. Standing at slightly under 5'2.

To be honest I was really tempted by the large size but the cost is nearly double.... I'm not at the point where I feel comfortable with such large purchases yet, maybe in the future :P

Wow I'm so envious of you! To have the option of the large in both metals is a dream! Indeed the choice between platinum and rose gold is a tough one.

I happened to read one of your posts regarding the reduction in ct weight for the victoria prior, maybe that's how they are reducing ct without sacrificing too much in overall size appearance. A shame though, I would imagine that the curvier one is slightly more sparkly as it has more facets!

It looks amazing on you. Thanks for sharing.

Loverofpink, your pendant looks enough large and its proportion looks good on your neck! I am tall and have wide shoulders, so smaller sizes looked too tiny for me. Carat weight of diamond was same in both metals, just the shape looked slightly different to me. Maybe it is just a difference between individual pieces regardless of metal used. From your photos I do not notice any difference in shape. Enjoy your lovely pendant!

Yes I'm thankful that the medium still looks substantial enough on me or else my dear wallet....

I see, I suppose so since no 2 diamonds are cut the same maybe that's why. But tiffany diamonds are always sparkly anyway!

Hi, may I ask do the diamonds on the Tiffany Victoria bracelet have a lot of sparks? I find Cartier's diamonds have and maintain sparks, but the diamonds on my Tiffany ring lose sparks over time :confused1:
