Tiffany Victoria - which size to choose?

That's really good to know! This is the first piece of Tiffany jewellery I've ever bought, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to take them into Tiffany's for cleaning without a receipt. They've never asked you for one?

These earrings are probably the most expensive purchase I've ever made, but they're also the most gorgeous jewellery I've ever owned. I'm absolutely in love with them.

Tiffany won't ask for a receipt and will service any item that is theirs! Which is good as I own a few pre-loved pieces and it's nice to get a free clean!

Thanks to everyone for their help with the decision, and to everyone who posted photos. I am absolutely in love with my Victoria earrings. I'm so glad that I bought them in the medium – I already wish I owned them in the large! Of course, even pre-owned, the large would definitely not be in my price range. It's a good thing I didn't buy the small, though!

I'm still dreaming of the Victoria alternating bracelet. Someday...

Hello!

I recently purchased a pair of Tiffany's Victoria earrings in what I was hoping was a medium size. They are preowned so I want to make sure they are the right size. I see from the forums that the medium size earrings do look a bit bigger than the small. The earrings that I have are 7mm in width and 7mm in height and I think they are the small size and not the medium from doing some research online but the seller says that based on their carat weight they are a medium. It is hard for me to compare on how they look on my ear because we all have such different earlobes. Would anyone be able to provide me with the dimensions in size small and medium in mm on their Victoria earrings? If there is much difference at all? Thank you so much in advance!

Can you post a picture of it on your ear? There is a big difference to me. The small are quite small and you can see the bottom of your ear lobe. The medium covers more and for some with a small earlobe, it can even go below it a bit.

There is also a big price difference. The small is $6K (.64ct) and the medium is $9K (.92ct)... roughly as each varies a tiny bit.

If she gave you a “super good deal” and your gut says it’s a small, most likely it’s a small.

Her comment about the carat weight... how does she know? The diamonds are already mounted so she must have the paperwork. If she has the paperwork, ask to see it.

7mm... you mean 7mm end to end from the tips, correct? That is small, so my guess without any photos is you have the small size.

UPDATE: You got me curious and I found a listing on eBay for a small that is roughly 7mm x 7mm (the listing says it's 6.9mm x 7.2mm). I would say you have the small size. Here is the listing:

I have an idea! If you need to know for sure before your return date closes in, may I suggest you order a pair from Tiffany. You can also decide exactly what size you prefer. Some people love the small as it sits inside the earlobe while others prefer a medium or large for a bolder look.

If you think you have the small, you can order the medium and decide which one you want.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for your reply! It is a jeweler on eBay that said he measured the carat weight but it is already in a setting so that is what I thought too. I am sending a picture with the earrings on. From research on eBay the small ones are 7mm and these are almost 7mm in width like other small earrings. Even with carat weight it just seems the medium are larger in overall size.

That is a great idea! That way I would know exactly what I like. Too bad I can't go to a store right now. I do like the size of the earrings but I paid for a medium size and not small. If anything maybe I can ask the seller for price adjustment or just return and go on a hunt again. Thank you!

Yes. I’d order online and test out the medium. You might like the medium more. The small is really dainty and you may find it too small after a while. Also, to me, I think the medium for some reason says “Tiffany Victoria”. The small just says “dainty earrings”. That’s just me though. Either will be lovely. Price wise, even though there is a big jump, for a Tiffany diamond platinum piece, both are reasonably priced in the same ballpark if that makes sense. It’s not like you have to decide from $5K to $25K. So I would say pick the size you love, regardless of price.

Looking at the your photo...
My gut says you will love the medium. It’s so Tiffany Victoria.

By the way, when buying off eBay, make sure they are genuine. I read eBay has a lot of fake Tiffany. The good news is the marquises on Victoria and also the mounting (it’s angled in, not flat) is not something I would think can easily be faked. You’ll be able to tell pretty quickly if the marquises are not perfectly matched.

So much fun! Good luck!

Agreed! The large size is definitely out of my price range. I actually just chatted with Tiffanys and the small are .27 inches which is roughly equivalent to 7mm. I will be ordering the medium. Thank you for your feedback!

Hello, I don't mean to hijack your thread but I couldn't start one (says insufficient privilage), but I wanted others' opinion as I'm extremely undecided.

Do you guys think I should go for the rose gold or the platinum? Which suits my skin tone better? In theory I know platinum makes diamonds shine brighter, but when I tried the rose gold it looked really good too.

Some says platinum suits the victoria design better as it blends in, but I just can't make up my mind!

The sizes shown in the photos is the large, but I'm purchasing the medium. They didn't have medium in both metals in stock hence I tried one size larger.

The SAs are not exactly helpful as some voted for the rose and some the platinum.

Opinions appreciated!

I think you should get the platinum. Platinum is always a classic!

I could see why you are having a hard time deciding as the Victoria in RG is stunning too. I have a small Victoria in platinum. I decided on that since I have platinum and WG earrings which match nicely with my Victoria pendant. If you get the RG, what earrings would you be pairing the pendant with?

Rose gold is trendy while platinum is more classic.
I prefer platinum :flowers:

Thanks for replying!

I'm "lucky" in the sense that I don't have my ears pierced so I don't have to worry about earrings, only bracelets so I don't have to worry about matching

I thought I was gonna go for the platinum but when I tried the rose gold in stores I couldn't choose! of course the diamonds look brighter in platinum but by just a whee bit, it's still stunning in the rose.
